Mike Huckabees Show - What do you think?

Posted on 10/12/2008 5:26:15 PM PDT by DocT111

Watching Huckabees show. I really like it, especially how he interacts with the audience. There is a nice multi-cultural mix in the audience too. I hope FOX continues to run this show.

I watched the intro.

No laughs at his lame jokes.
Stephen Colbert didn’t do him a favor....unfunny jokes.

He thinks this will lead into his 2012 campaign? Chuck Norris coming up...is he still a republican???

I LOVE IT!

Finally a FOX show without screaming & without dumbing it down too.

They should keep this, Cavutto, & Brit’s show and scrub the rest imho.

Finally a FOX show without screaming & without dumbing it down too.

And I think he's right about economic terrorism, these last two weeks. It fits this:

Barack Obama & the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

Listen to this Interview of James Simpson, by Sandy Rios, Tuesday 9/30 - WYLL 1160AM, Chicago, IL
From http://www.culturecampaign.com/culturecorner.aspx

Simpson documents his research in his article, providing Web links. He provides a rough flow chart.

"CHANGE"

Further corroboration on Obama & The Cloward-Piven Strategy:

Obama, Voter Fraud & Mortgage Meltdown, by James H. Walsh, former federal prosecutor.

I watch it...it’s okay

His interview with the Mom’s was a little over the top...asking 3 Mom’s...”What would you like America to know about how difficult it is to run a household?”

Umm..I think every adult knows what it is like to run a household....it seemed kind of odd to me.

I think this show has evolved him into a television personality and likely just ended any political career.

Right now he’s interviewing 2 African American Pastors - one for Obama and one for McCain. The pastor for McCain said his congregation is voting on the issues according to God’s Law. The pastor further explained that if Obama advocates infanticide, his congregation needs to know.

I like it, too, and I was pretty anti-Huckabee back during the primaries. It cannot be denied; he’s the best communicator in the entire GOP right now. He explains things well, handles questions with ease, is not afraid to attack the other side, and actually has just about all the concepts right. Honestly....yeah, I’ll just go ahead and eat crow and say it.....I wish he were our nominee. More than anything right now, Republicans need someone who is a good communicator. Bush and McCain’s utter ineptness at it has cost us almost everything. Huckabee’s show is a nice respite after watching McCain continue to strike out on homerun pitches throughout the week.

Why do you say that? During the debates, he didn’t show the slightest interest in the debt, the destructive role of the Federal Reserve, etc. Ron Paul was the only one to do that. Huckabee didn’t see this coming. Why should he? He was a typical big spending, tax-raising Southern governor.

I despise Mike Huckabee, whose selfishness and collusion with McCain has delivered the electoral disaster that may soon ensue.

Yes, I will vote for McCain. That said, we have nominated the wrong candidate.

Like Reagan in 76 and 80, Mitt was positioned to run AGAINST Washington. We have no such luxury with McCain. With his global economic expertise and telegenicity, Romney would be kicking BO and the RATS to the curb on this economic meltown. and explaining a pro-growth and compelling positive economic agenda. Hell, we might even have taken back the House with Romney at the top of the ticket.

-@— you, Huckabee.

I liked him as well...especially after the Edwards jokes during the summer 07 debate. However, Romney would've sliced and diced BO to pieces last week. I want to wait until after the election to play Monday morning quarterback....I just wonder how a Romney/Palin program would've worked.........especially given the financial sector panic.

Um, Romney supported the bailout. But I’m sure he’d flip that issue too

http://www.lvrj.com/news/30256589.html

Speaking to reporters after his 17-minute talk, Romney said he supports the economic rescue plan making its way through Congress and lauded Porter for voting for it. He was one of a handful of vulnerable Republicans who cast a yes vote for the original bill that failed in the House of Representatives on Monday.

“What Jon Porter did ... is not politically popular, but it’s the right thing,” Romney said. “I believe the American people, with more time and inspection of the need for economic stabilization, will recognize that this is the right thing. Right now he’s taking a vote which is a very courageous vote and I salute him for doing that.”

Your naivete is amazing. Romney is playing good soldier to protect as many Republicans as possible.

Were he the nominee, Mitt would have vociferously opposed the bailout and hung the entire scandal around the RATS necks, with no political accountability.

Unlike our current standard bearer, Mitt can speak with fluency and high impact on any economic subject. McCain looks like a deer in headlights and can barely string a few coherent thoughts together.

Wake up.

he brought up 2 points during the debates that none of the others brought up. He said sarbanes oxley was a disaster and the Keynesian stimulus rebate, which would just end up going to China, would do nothing for the economy.

He is also a consistent supply sider. He cut capital gains and wants to abolish the income tax. No tax on capital and productivity. None of the other candidates had the guts to cut the top rate, let alone eliminate it.

Ron Paul actually had a very weak tax plan.

I had (have) concerns about McCain & Huck but I think McCain just isn’t taking the fight to Obama, too much is being held back, I’m not sure if Huck would sit back and take it.

AN OPEN LETTER TO MIKE HUCKABEE

Mr. Huckabee, it appears that Barack Obama is going to win the election and it can be attributed directly to YOU. Why? Because of your religious bigotry a few months ago against Mitt Romney! You, like Democrat Bill Richardson, were not running for President, as there was no way in the world that you even had a chance. It was just an ego thing. You were running for VICE President and needed to get Romney out of the way because you knew he would not consider you to be his running mate. You figured (wrongly and thankfully) that John McCain would give you consideration if he got the nomination. Therefore, you made the decision to slander Romney with that Jesus / devil question. You, Mr. Huckabee, have a bachelor's in Religion and also attended a theological seminary, so you knew your comment was way out of line. You learned in World Religion 101 what the Mormon religion's teaching were. And, it is not "that Jesus and the devil are brothers". You knew how Evangelicals would take your comment, as the everyday person doesn't know a lot about Mormans. They just assumed you knew what you were talking about, since you are an ordained Baptist minister. (By the way, I'm a practicing Roman Catholic.) The day before your knowingly false statement, Romney was leading the pack, but the following day, he started going downhill. He had to drop out because of your intentional falsehoods and RELIGIOUS BIGOTRY.

Had you not done what you did, I'm sure Mitt Romney would have been debating Obama Tuesday night, not John McCain. And, another thing; Romney would have a good 35% lead over Obama right now instead of Obama with a (+)7%. Romney would have cleaned his clock.

McCain would make a good President, but without Sarah Palin, he would now be DOWN about 40%. Sarah is great and is keeping his head above water, BUT, McCain cannot win by continuing his routine campaign rhetoric of "I'm a maverick", "I can reach across the aisle" and starting every third sentence with "MY friend". This is politics, not a friendly game of golf. Obama and his henchmen know how to win. And, how to win over the mainstream media. Perhaps, Mr. Huckabee, John McCain should let you run his campaign until election day. Your slimy tactics would make Obama and his team of bagmen look like mere children.

With all that said, Governor, I would like for you to consider doing the following on the day after Obama wins the election: Call a national press conference, and, stand up and tell the American people that you're sorry for falsely slandering Mitt Romney and that it's YOUR fault that the United States is about to become a socialist, third world country.

JMAX

So now the Mitt haters are peddling the absurd notion that Huck and McCain are more conservative than McCain on economic policy. Spare me the nonsense, please.

Who had the Reagan economic vision and could sell it to the American people in a a general election campaign - Romney or McCain?

In order to enact any economic policy, you have to get elected first. McCain is proving that he cannot discuss economic issues with any certainty let alone passion.

It is sickening to think of what might have been right now with Mitt as our nominee. Anyone who denies this is living in fantasyland.
