Obama rides a wave of bad economic news (Barf Alert)
LA Times ^ | October 12, 2008 | Peter Wallsten, David Zucchino and Bob Drogin

For months, Mark Wagner stuck by John McCain, even as the economy stalled and other Americans came to blame Republican leadership. Then, about three weeks ago, the deepening economic downturn pushed him to reconsider.

Now, the Florida salesman and staunch Republican has abandoned the GOP ticket. Sarah Palin, he thinks, looks under-equipped to be vice president. And McCain, he says, displayed an unsteady response to what may be a global economic depression.

Anyone who believes the Manchild and his thugs can fix these economic problems really needs to lay off of the recreational drugs for a while. These people CAUSED these problems. ACORNgate.

Typically, what’s bad for America is good for Democrats, and vice versa.

Alternative Headline: Obama rides the wave of economic woes he helped spawn, candidate seeks to benefit from his own mistakes.

I’m not sure I would believe anything printed by the la-la times.

A Republican who decides to vote for Obama? Not much of a Republican. Bring him over here. Let’s talk to him.

by Mccain releasing an economic recovery plan, they’ll smoke out Obama to put a plan on the table. Then, even if Mccain loses, Acorna will have his outline on the table and there will be a better chance to hold him to it next year, assuming that he won’t have as left wing agenda before the election as he might develop afterward.

I would think drowning in the wave would be more approprate for Obama.

Of course this seminar jackass cannot tell you how raising taxes on a shrinking sector of the tax base while lowering it on the rest is going to help. He can't tell you how the Boomer generation is ever going to be able to retire, he cannot tell you how government and union pensions are going to have any money, he cannot tell you how we are going to absorb up to 5 million properties bought by illegal aliens but he can tell you about McCain and Palin. Right on you MSM sock puppet how many rocks did they overturn to find you?

Good alternative headline, but I’d like to see some investigative reporting on how much the Dims’ and Obama’s buddy, George Soros, was doing behind the scenes. If the truth comes out, I wonder if history will show that Soros brought on the Second Great Depression in order to bring Socialism and Obama to power?

I bet Dan Rather could prove that, if it were a friend of George Bush.

The article quotes a Harold Pelzel and calls him a "lifelong Republican", but I do not get any results looking up his registration info. Is he even registered to vote?: http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/VoterLookup.asp

Now, at the campaign office in downtown Cary, Pelzel said he spoke almost every day with conservative or Republican voters who tell him they are also leaning toward Obama because of the faltering economy. “They tell me: ‘I’ve been a Republican all my life, but I can’t support them any more,’ ” Pelzel said, adding: “I don’t even have to try to convert them. Most of them decide to switch on their own.”

Yeah, sure Mr. Pelzel.

And as for Jack Antaramian, while its true he has donated to Republicans, I have also found that he donated to a Democrat:

GRAHAM, BOB (D)
Senate - FL
FRIENDS OF BOB GRAHAM COMMITTEE $1,000
