Great idea, but it will never happen.
For two reasons:
1. The Dems have control of the House and Senate, why would they pass a law that would stop their union thugs, homeless, and college students from voting multiple times? That would take possibly hundreds of thousands of votes away from Dems.
2. Not sure if the national gov. could pass this law as it is states that establish the procedures for voting.

Why the SOS's of each state. It would have to be passed by that state, the sos has no control of voter ID.
OBTW, Soros in funding each SOS election in each state....needs lefties in those positions. You can see what is taking place in Ohio.

We need 2 requirements to put a serious dent in vote fraud:
1. Show a photo-bearing ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID)
2. Finger dipped in permanent ink
Good luck getting those who benefit from the fraud to do something to prevent it...

This is a great idea. But knowing the liberals in
Congress they will go too far and demand that all
registered voters have a mark tatooed on their forehead
or on the back of their hand.

Oregon should get rid of mail-in voting and add early voting like some other states have.

Well....I don’t know that you can get rid of it totally....we have traveled enough to be often out of town on election days...BUT, sure would like to see some way to verify each ballot, i.e. send in a copy of your driver’s license??? Soc Sec # (can’t believe I just typed THAT!)....but SOMETHING TO guarantee one vote to one person who is really alive.

I’m not sure. I know you probably posted that flippantly, but there is a danger of that with any new law. However, considering I have to show ID to do anything anymore, showing ID to vote doesn’t seem that high of a threshold.

I’m a little sensitive because I do not have a copy of my birth certificate and can’t afford to pay for one. So when it is required to vote I will stop voting unless my income improves.
I do seem to recall there were some elderly nuns who were turned away at the polls because they didn’t have ID.
To: judsonlegacy
I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I think even if your state does start requiring photo ID, you can get a photo ID without a birth certificate. If you ever run into that situation, send me a Freepmail and I will do my best to google the rules of your state so that you can vote.
No matter what happens, do not stop voting.
