Lord, we pray for our president and brother in Christ, George W. Bush. We ask that You would be with him through all his days in office and beyond. Guide him as he makes decisions that affect our whole nation. Lord, we pray that You would not let him be put to shame, or allow his enemies to triumph over him, for You are his God and he has trusted in You.
Lord, we pray for our troops. Please bless them as they fight to protect our country and bring freedom to the Iraqis and Afghanis. By Your grace, may their work not be in vain. Lord, we ask that You would watch over them and give their enemies into their hands.
Father, we pray for our country. Not because of our righteousness but because of Your mercy, we ask for Your help during these days. You know, Father, what is best for us; give us the faith to turn to You and receive it. Lord, we pray for Your church. May we live lives of reverence and faithfulness to You; bringing You glory.
Father, we pray for Senator McCain and Governor Palin. We ask that You would show them Your ways and teach them Your paths.
Lord, Your love and mercy are from of old, and in these is our joy and our song. You, God, are our Savior, and so our hope is sure. There is none like You - who was and who is forever, a holy and majestic God. We praise You, Lord, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
A call to prayer.
I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration, McCain, Palin and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
We ask You, Father, to place in John McCain the passion and desire he needs to defeat his opponent in this election. We pray, Lord, that he would understand the spiritual nature of this battle and that he would draw upon Your strength for every move he makes. Lord, give him a vision that will reveal to him all that is at stake for the future of this nation, for the unborn, for our children, for our children's children. Lord, we ask You to help us keep America as it was intended---as it was shaped and formed by You from the beginning. Help us, Lord. We cannot do this ourselves, but You are able. We confess that You will not turn Your back on us as we cry out to You for Your help. We acknowledge You as King, and we exalt Your faithfulness. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Jeremy Taylor was a 17th-century English cleric who was severely persecuted for his faith. But though his house was plundered, his family left destitute, and his property confiscated, he continued to count the blessings he could not lose.
He wrote: They have not taken away my merry countenance, my cheerful spirit, and a good conscience; they have still left me with the providence of God, and all His promises . . . my hopes of Heaven, and my charity to them, too, and still I sleep and digest, I eat and drink, I read and meditate. And he that hath so many causes of joy, and so great should never choose to sit down upon his little handful of thorns.
Although we may not be afflicted with the grievous difficulties that Jeremy Taylor endured, all of us face trials and troubles. Are we grumbling? Or do we refuse to let our little handful of thorns, our troubles, obscure the overwhelming abundance of our blessings?
When we feel like complaining, lets remember Gods faithfulness and give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! . . . Remember His marvelous works which He has done! (Ps. 105:1,5).

Amen.
AMEN AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!
“Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.”
- Lamentations 3:41
The act of prayer teaches us our unworthiness, which is a very salutary
lesson for such proud beings as we are. If God gave us favours without
constraining us to pray for them we should never know how poor we are, but
a true prayer is an inventory of wants, a catalogue of necessities, a
revelation of hidden poverty. While it is an application to divine wealth,
it is a confession of human emptiness. The most healthy state of a
Christian is to be always empty in self and constantly depending upon the
Lord for supplies; to be always poor in self and rich in Jesus; weak as
water personally, but mighty through God to do great exploits; and hence
the use of prayer, because, while it adores God, it lays the creature
where it should be, in the very dust. Prayer is in itself, apart from the
answer which it brings, a great benefit to the Christian. As the runner
gains strength for the race by daily exercise, so for the great race of
life we acquire energy by the hallowed labour of prayer. Prayer plumes the
wings of God’s young eaglets, that they may learn to mount above the
clouds. Prayer girds the loins of God’s warriors, and sends them forth to
combat with their sinews braced and their muscles firm. An earnest pleader
cometh out of his closet, even as the sun ariseth from the chambers of the
east, rejoicing like a strong man to run his race. Prayer is that uplifted
hand of Moses which routs the Amalekites more than the sword of Joshua; it
is the arrow shot from the chamber of the prophet foreboding defeat to the
Syrians.
Prayer girds human weakness with divine strength, turns human folly into
heavenly wisdom, and gives to troubled mortals the peace of God.
We know not what prayer cannot do! We thank thee, great God, for the
mercy-seat, a choice proof of thy marvellous lovingkindness.
Help us to use it aright throughout this day!

SOLI DEO GLORIA!
I join your prayer.
If there’s a ping-list, please add me.
Father I ask that You would confuse the enemy who works to destroy the character or John McCain and Sarah Palin, spouting false accusations. Speak even through a “donkey” to stop the enemy from accomplishing his plans.
I pray for President Bush also..be his wisdom especially with the conference on the financial crisis. In Jesus Name
