Democrat Mark Udall still leads among Colorado's likely voters, but his Republican rival, Bob Schaffer, is narrowing the gap, according to a Denver Post poll.
Udall, who had been up by as many as 10 percentage points in previous polls, is favored by 43 percent of registered voters surveyed, to Schaffer's 38 percent.
But with 14 percent of respondents saying they haven't made up their minds less than a month before the election, it's clear the race is much tighter than it appeared to be over the summer, said Brad Coker, managing director of Mason-Dixon Polling and Research.

Bob Schaffer has run well against heavy odds, but he has yet to lead in any survey. I hope that Colorado conservatives are making this a top priority.
We are, and the race is turning.
Strange that these numbers are coming in so low. 43% for the guy LEADING? Not very impressive.
Is Osama, er Obama, a drag on the entire dem ticket?
Or are the ballot questions causing trouble for the dems?
The radio ads are sure hammering on the partial birth abortion issue, giving listeners Udall’s phone number and telling them to call and give him a piece of their mind...
Then there are his votes against drilling, for raising taxes, against body armor for the troops, right down the line.
Hope he is defeated.
I emailed the campaign suggesting that they campaign against Ken Salazar. When Ken ran, just as Udall is this time, he campaigned wearing jean jackets, flannel shirts and a cowboy hat posing as a CONSERVATIVE, but his record has been one of the most liberal in the senate. Shaffer’s campaign not only needs to point out Salazar’s record, but stress that Colorado can’t afford another liberal who poses as a conservative.
YES! Hit Udall with his anti-secret ballot idiocy.

I’m over in Columbia, MO...but I did get to hear an HARD-HITTING
advert against Udall on 850AM KOA out of Denver last night.
Sounds like the sort of advert that McCain/Palin should be making
if they (ESPECIALLY McCain) are serious about winning in November!!!!
