BOCA RATON, FL -- On Northwest 6th Street, in the heart of Boca Raton, several show their support for John McCain. Miriam Pearson-Martinez is the only one on her street with a sign for Barack Obama in her front yard. Even in this beautiful neighborhood, something happened that she says, was just plain ugly.
Thursday morning she found her sign supporting Obama had been burned and melted to her driveway.

Some Freeper uses a tag line that says he isn’t voting for Obama because he’s black, but because Obama’s red. Says it all.

These kinds of things are just SOP when they happen to us, we have become used to taking them in stride. They are newsworthy events when they happen to a ‘rat supporter. They didn’t make such a big deal of the ‘rat who tore the sign from a toddler’s hands while she was in her father’s arms a few years ago, nor of Governor Palin’s email being hacked (they even tried to turn that one on her, the victim!), or of the many thefts of computers at R headquarters (from dummies who leave their laptops lying around).

If it plays out like all of the recent “racially tinged” events we’ve heard in the news there’s about a 100% chance that the fire was self-inflicted...give or take 1%.

A similar thing happened in seattle in 2004. Some Kerry supporter said she parked her car and when she came back someone had vandalized her Kerry sticker with lipstick or something. Funny thing was it was in Freemont, which is as liberal as DC is black. Moreso, actually.
It was proven she did it herself. Cops gave her some sort of warning/fine/handslap.

You can’t even put up a McCain/Palin sign without it being stolen, destroyed or your house vandalized.
I don’t know if it’s the same incident, but at my son’s college back then, (Pomona College in Claremont CA) a teacher said her car was vandalized etc. She had done it herself it was later revealed.
Try putting anything remotely conservative on your car. NO, really, DON’T try it, your car will certainly be vandalized.
Poor baby, her sign was burned. Just last week, a Freeper posted pictures of his garage door that had been vandalized. Someone had written Obama’s name across it.

My McCain sign was stolen within 3 hours of putting it up last weekend, we found it ripped up in the woods near our house. Should I contact the press and cry in front of the cameras??

I work in a very liberal area of detroit and if I had a McCain sticker on my car it would be keyed (if I was lucky). I think this story is BS because I just can't picture McCain supporters doing this, it just goes against our personal beliefs.

I would love to destroy every anti-America (0bama) sign out there, because 0bama goes against everything I stand for, but I do not feel it’s right to destroy someone elses property.

It probably was her or a kid that burnt that sign. When you watch the video at the TV station’s website, they also mention that McCain signs were also burned.

I have attended many political rallies in my years and have never once seen a Republican interrupt a Dem’s rally or otherwise carry on in disruptive fashion!!!!!

Hmmm. Maybe the “Martinez” half of Miriam Pearson-Martinez did it in secret. You know those latinos often have no tolerance for blacks. I live in L.A., and I’m just sayin’......
