My point being, times like this are meant by God for one thing; times of trouble are meant to bring us closer to Him. Don't be one of the people in the Bible who live through horrible times, and still find no reason to repent:

"The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands"- Revelation 9:20"

If you've ever considered repenting, and turning towards God-- NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME.

"Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you." "-Acts 8:22

What is happening today all over the world is from the Hand of God. How are you going to deal with it? After all-- "shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? "- Job 2:10

Revelation 18

1After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. 2With a mighty voice he shouted:
“Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!
She has become a home for demons
and a haunt for every evil[a] spirit,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.
3For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”

4Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“Come out of her, my people,
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Mix her a double portion from her own cup.
7Give her as much torture and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
‘I sit as queen; I am not a widow,
and I will never mourn.’
8Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

9”When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. 10Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:
“ ‘Woe! Woe, O great city,
O Babylon, city of power!
In one hour your doom has come!’

11”The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more— 12cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and bodies and souls of men.

14”They will say, ‘The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.’ 15The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16and cry out:
“ ‘Woe! Woe, O great city,
dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet,
and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!
17In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’

“Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off. 18When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, ‘Was there ever a city like this great city?’ 19They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out:
“ ‘Woe! Woe, O great city,
where all who had ships on the sea
became rich through her wealth!
In one hour she has been brought to ruin!
20Rejoice over her, O heaven!
Rejoice, saints and apostles and prophets!
God has judged her for the way she treated you.’ “

21Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:
“With such violence
the great city of Babylon will be thrown down,
never to be found again.
22The music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters,
will never be heard in you again.
No workman of any trade
will ever be found in you again.
The sound of a millstone
will never be heard in you again.
23The light of a lamp will never shine in you again.
The voice of bridegroom and bride
will never be heard in you again.
Your merchants were the world’s great men.
By your magic spell all the nations were led astray.
24In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints,
and of all who have been killed on the earth.”

WILL THE WORLD END IN 2012???

It is evident to me there is prophecy in Scripture that
we cannot recognize until AFTER it has happened.
With that in mind, there is something I discovered
in the Bible that could possibly relate to the year 2012.

Every year on New Years Day I make a point to read
the Psalm for that year. This year, I’ll read Psalm 9
and Psalm 20:09 (Save O Lord! May the King answer
us in the day we call!). In 2001, I read Psalm 1. In 2002,
I read Psalm 2... and so on.

When there is a huge disaster or epic event in the
world, I also go to the related Psalms and to the book
of Isaiah. On September 11, 2001, I read Psalm 20,
verse 1 or Psalm 20:01.

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the
name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high!
(Psalm 20:1)

With all the buzz about the world ending on 2012, I took
a look at Psalm 12. There is no Psalm 20:12, so Psalm 12
is the passage that relates to the year.

Are you ready....?

Hope you’re sitting down...

Wait for it...

Here goes...

Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases to be, for the faithful
disappear from among the sons of men. (Psalm 12, verse 1)

I’m just sayin’...

... Be ready in season and out of season. Prepare your
post rapture letters to loved ones who are left behind.
If you are thinking to yourselves, we cannot know the
Day or the hour when Jesus will return, you are absolutely
Correct.

But… we could know the year.

***************************************

I’m not convinced that we can know when Jesus will return,
but Scripture tells us that we will know the signs.
I am personally a mid tribber. After all, Noah’s Ark cannot
float until the flood water reaches a certain level.
My thinking about Psalm 12 is merely to pique interest.
And you must admit that Scripture is interesting.

yes, our days here are numbered. It’s obvious that Satan is making his big move. His big power play. Satan told Jesus he would give him the nations of the world because it was “his to give to whomever I please.” Seeing Satan work through the Obama’s, Gore’s, Frank’s and Clinton’s of the world among others, makes this very clear

The things that have been goign on in the world lately have been dragging me closer to God. During the good times, we don’t “need” Him as much. But when things begin to fall apart, and there is nothing under our control it forced us to see the reality that we need Him every second of every day. Pity it takes extremes for us to accept this. Yes, repent.

You three bring up relevant Scriptures, quotes and SIGNS and good on you, regardless of those who scoff at such, to their own destruction eventually.

Jesus gave us this information for a reason, we are not to set dates of course because not only did he command us NOT to but that we won’t know. HOWEVER, he didn’t expect us to check our brains at the door and admonished us to always LOOK for these signs, to be aware so that we would not be CAUGHT OFF GUARD and to be prepared in all ways.

God's prophecy clock began ticking the day Israel became a nation in 1948.

There is every reason to believe, based on world events occurring now that Jesus said would happen right before His return, that we are the generation that will see the Tribulation happen and will see Jesus come again.

A person's only real hope and security has always been in his trust in Christ and his relationship with Christ; never before in history has that been more true and critical than today.

Luke 21:29-32

29 Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Thanks for posting the checklist.

Paranoia for those who don’t believe....not for those who do....we were told to “WATCH”. This poster is doing their job, and obeying. You are doing your job of mocking. I believe it is all written and will go as written whether we have always understood its full meaning or not.

“EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Do it now while He can still be found or do it later when He turns his back on you...but EVERYONE eventually will do it. For those who don’t believe...it is very simple...if those of us who do believe are wrong...nothing gained, nothing lost. BUT if we are right...then what? You’ll buy home and auto insurance based on the belief you will crash or burn but believing in God’s plan? Costs you not one penny, was given freely and you’ll scoff at it. What are the requirments?
“Love the Lord thy God will all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor as yourself.”

WHEW that is a big price!!

Yes, I think you're right, and that's exciting--- but you know what? It's also painful to have to stand by and watch everything collapsing. Without our faith, I can't imagine what it would be like. If you thought this was all there was, with no hope-- there would be no reason to wake up in the morning. At least we know these are the dark times before the beginning of a new world.

There is nothing wacky about it.

The Scripture states that the entire world will see the dead bodies of the two prophets whom God sends during the Tribulation to warn people of the consequences of rejecting God.

Our generation is the first one in history, with both satellite television and the internet, by which the entire world will be able to see the bodies. Never before in history has that been possible.

So no, it's not a "wacky interpretation". It's very clear, and plain, and makes perfect sense.

The phrase “the world end” is a misnomer. The Bible does not teach that the “World “ is going to end. Matter of fact it teaches that the world will be made over and go on and on. The word “world” in the bible actually means “age”. The end of the age is coming not the end of the world.

Do NOT read anything in the book of Revelation past Ch. 3 as literal.

It is apocalypic literature and meant to employ poetical and allegorical language to convey underlying principles.

Revelation is future His Story and is to be taken
seriously. When Jesus says “a man”, or “a woman”
it’s allegory. But when God names names, He’s
talkin’ facts. I’m not about to change (or interpret)
one jot or one tittle of Revelation to suit my
preconceptions.
