The following communication from a union organization somehow landed in my email box.
*****************************************************
Dear XYZ
This Nov. 4, Americans won't just be voting for candidates. We'll be voting for change, or for business as usual. We'll be voting for policiespolicies that could favor working families, or Wall Street and Big Business.
Business as usual is a powerful force, and Wall Street has a lot of influence. Which is why Working America needs people like you. In the final four days before the election, Working America canvassers will knock on a quarter of a million doors to mobilize our members to vote for change. That's where you come in.
Would you like to earn $350 working to get out the vote for change?
As a Working America member, you want this country to be there for working families, not Wall Street CEOs. You want affordable health care, quality education for your kids and to know that Social Security will allow you to retire with dignity. You could earn $350 for just four days of going door to door, having conversations about those issues with other Working America members, and urging them to vote.
There are shifts available in 19 cities on Nov. 14. Each shift pays $75, and you get a $50 bonus for working all four days. You don't need to have a degree in politicsyou just need to care about change, and be willing to walk around, knocking on doors and talking to our members in the community.
If you're interested, you can apply online.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Working America Community Affiliate of the AFL-CIO
P.S. If you have friends who might be interested in getting paid to get out the vote for change, let them know they can apply, too!
they’ll prob work in packs. but maybe someone could get hired and then go to doors telling them to vote McCain...haha
You should sign up and do a really bad job. lol
I would be interested if Republicans could get (covertly) involved in this and go and seek out Republican voters -— while getting paid by Dhims.
Just and idea for some retired folks out there.
We should all sign up and stump for Mac and Sarah
