The US Secret Service has investigated an alleged death threat against Democrat Barack Obama that was yelled out on Monday at a rally for his Republican rival John McCain and running mate Sarah Palin.
The probe by the service that protects US presidents, past and present, visiting world leaders and US presidential candidates, stems from a report by The Washington Post about a shout, “kill him,” heard during the rally when Obama’s name came up.
The alleged threat was made when Palin was speaking of Obama’s relations with former 1960s radical Bill Ayers, whose group “The Weathermen” carried out a series of attacks in protest against the Vietnam War.
“We take every threat very seriously. Every time we receive or are reported information like that, we follow up,” said Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan.
However, he cautioned that at the McCain rally, “no Secret Service agent overheard any threatening statement and no threatening statements were reported by law enforcement or the general public.”
“We did make some inquiries after the Washington Post reported on Tuesday that a someone had yelled ’kill him’,” he added.
Donovan said it wasn’t clear whether the threat was actually said or, if so, if it was meant for Obama or even Ayers, both of whose names were uttered by Palin at that moment in her speech.
For those reasons, he added, the investigation was dropped.
Personal attacks against Obama from the McCain campaign have been increasing lately, with McCain and other Republican speakers tossing barbs at rallies ranging from “socialist,” “terrorist” to “liar.”

Again..I ask..where are the recordings from the “abused media”???..I know they have audio and video recording devices..yet they produce NO recordings whatsoever..and the only one who “reports” it is dana milbank of the wapo..kinda strange..isn’t it???
I heard someone yell “kill whitey” at an Obama rally. Yeah. That’s the ticket.
No one else heard it because it did not happen. I was there and no one shouted “kill” anything, much less any person!
It is obvious that the DEMS are in panic mode due to the Sarah Palin Syndrome!

That’s because it didn’t happen. We’ve had the moonbats claiming all types of threats and slurs that no one else seems to hear. As many cameras as you’ve got rolling at these events catching these things should be a cinch.
These people are just simply pathetic.
The MSM in an effort to set-up McCain and his supporters will put more microphone in the large crown and catch someone making a threat or dropping the N-Word.
And the audio will be played 24/7 on CNN, MSNBC and FNC.
Seems weird to see the media, ACORN, DNC and team Obama going into overdrive like this if the election is soooo in the bag for them.

Whoever it is positions himself very near the front so they can be heard on the microphones. As McCain is building up to an applause line about Obama, this guy yells out "Kill him!" just before the crowd erupts.
What makes it obvious is that the guy yells it a full second before the crowd erupts, while McCain is still speaking, to make sure he is heard. An obviously coordinated occurrence to get the media talking about these "crazy, racist Republicans."

Since the subject was Ayers, then the “Kill him”, if it existed, would most likely be about him. And Ayers would not be on very good philosphical ground for opposing it.
Actually there IS tape of almost exactly that from prominent Obama supporters who have not been called out by Obama.
Someone said “Bill Ayers” which the press translated as “Kill ‘em”....

Wednesday morning where? If it happened Monday afternoon than it would have been in Ft. Myers. I heard nothing about it from the Freeper who reported about the Ft. Myers event. Also, the Chicago Sun Times Mary Mitchell said in her nasty article that it happened in Clearwater and as I said, we heard nothing like that nonsense through the entire event Monday morning.
I would agree that if it did happen it would be from an Obama or MSM plant.

I believe someone at the event would not hear it unless they were in the first few rows. It came across on the audio feed very clearly. On Monday I thought I heard it pretty clearly, so I was attuned to it as I listened on Wednesday. Since I was prepared to hear it, when it happened I realized it was the same tact - shouting it just before the crowd erupted in applause.
Or Sandra Bernardt, that ugly faced to match her ugly soul cow, for saying that if Sarah Palin showed up in Manhattan, her “big black brothers” would gang-rape her? For that matter, why haven’t black people been outraged about this?
Madonna has probably already been “probed” more than a $5 whore. She was so proud of it she made a book about it. I bet her poor kids, especially her son, will be real proud when they ever see that book.
Just hoping that it won’t stop McCain/Palin from attacking Obama. Especially now that the campaign has just started to get it’s political nerve.

There’s 5,000 video cameras and cell phone cameras at every Palin-McCain event. If someone actually said it, it’s recorded somewhere and would have been on CNN, PMSNBC, YouTube, and the Washington Post website.

A friend of mine who was at the rally said he heard a rumor that a reporter yelled it out. Perhaps we are being punked by reporters shouting these things out at all rallies.
