(MILWAUKEE) - John McCain and Sarah Palin were about halfway through a town hall meeting here when a man in the audience rose to be heard.
I'm mad! I'm really mad! he shouted. And what's gonna surprise you, it's not the economy. It's the Socialists taking over our country.
The crowd of several thousand erupted in thunderous cheers, as if many of their most underlying concerns had finally been verbalized.
The mans righteous anger set the tone for Palin, who fully embraced her role as the Republican tickets attack dog. Palin seemed to question Barack Obamas character repeatedly and slammed his judgment on hot-button issues like abortion, calling on voters to hold the mainstream media accountable for failing to challenge the Democrats truthfulness.
Palin seemed to feed off the questions, many of which were filled with vitriol toward Obama and the Democrats. In her answer to a question about her energy policy, Palin seemed to take offense to any suggestion that she might be considered green.
It's time that we start utilizing those also, and then Americans have we've got to conserve also and I kind of sometimes may be come across sounding a little bit green on that one, Palin said. No, we have got to conserve and we've gotten sort of spoiled here, America, but as we wean ourselves off the hydrocarbons and someday off some of these products made by petroleum.
When an audience member lamented that Tom Brokaw cleverly did not bring up the issue of abortion at the last presidential debate, McCain reaffirmed his pro-life position but also extended an olive branch to those on the other side of the issue, saying, We have to show compassion and courage to any young woman who is undergoing this very difficult situation.

Yosemite Sam. :O)
cant help loving this woman
God knows, somebody has to do it.

For ONCE CBS has it right.....we can’t stand the anti-religious liberal left and their lying candidate, Hussein..
They make a mockery of our election system.
Because then she’ll be President when she sooner or later escorts that same carcass from the Capitol to Arlington.
How hard did CBS work to come up with that headline wording?
I agree with her ... I don’t want to be thought “green” either, because that’s a cult. I’ll conserve energy and other resources because I’m paying for them. Keeping my gas and electric bills down is important to me. I don’t litter, either, because that’s vulgar. I like wildlife and public recreations areas too, and my taxes pay for them. But don’t call me “environmentally conscious.”
How hard did CBS have to work to come up with that particular headline wording?
I wonder if YouTube has that scene posted yet?
Wow. Did you read some of the hate filled posts on that page, denouncing the Repub “haters” that they hate so much. They really hate them haters. It’s a pretty creepy bunch over there. Funny, they don’t understand that I feel sorry for them, I don’t hate them. I don’t know them.
Good grief.
You gotta love her!
This is the second article in a row from the CBS "From the Road" blog series that basically spoke the truth.
I'm mad! I'm really mad! he shouted. And what's gonna surprise you, it's not the economy. It's the Socialists taking over our country.
Another article said:
The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.

Moosemeat. Sarah is magnificent.
The media bias doesn’t anger me anymore, because I think it’s actually become a plus for the McCain-Palin campaign, it’s so ludicrous. But this is one more example of an undeniable fact: The drive-bys will cover issues that aren’t Dem talking points (in their snarky way) if the candidates are involved, but not if they aren’t.
Viewing that clip, I came away with one thought...
McCain didn’t hear him.
Don’t think we need that kind of imagery here.
I read that thread! O-Force One smells of Hadji-funk! LMAO!! Once you smell that, you never forget it.
Sorry, ‘bout that.
No, they don’t. They messed with the story and didn’t tell it all.
There's some talk going around about Obama literally having pretty bad body odor. One post or article said his wife and daughters say he smells bad (unconfirmed) and maybe the guy is rank enough to stink up a whole plane?
She does. The woman has more moxy than hundreds of members of Congress combined.
9 days....we’ll see...McCain has been to cautious, S Palin is anything but cautious, she’ll produce.
That’s not dangling red meat, that’s chumming the water.
Go Sarah and drag the old guy along with you.
Wish Sen. McCain would campaign on his own. She has the message that resonates. McCain should go out and get those “middle” voters he’s been courting for years (if any)- and let Gov. Palin revive the Reagan coalition.
Hence my new tagline.......
tHAT IS THE JOB OF THE VP CANDIDATE....MEAT!
Its very simple...Obama is dangerous....
WHO IS OBAMA....WHO ARE HIS FRIENDS? SCAREY
What I meant was they were right about the our utter disgust for their evil ways!!
More then that Tx4evr, Palin is in McCain’s ear and thinking, she will lead him to drop that caution, soon enough, the next 9 days are a key...
McCain didnt hear him.
I got the same impression. McCain's "we have to work together" answer didn't address the man's comments.
True but my fear is Obama will start placing people in the audience to insight racial slurs or violence...then the MSM will start the old racial tension from McCain camp stuff.
Obama is very calculated. dont trust the MSM...

McCains’s response.....I will work with anyone, anyone.....
He just can’t let go of that bipartisan crap that got us here in the first place.
Sarah’s accent alone should be worth some votes in Minnesota. :)

Really objective headline there.
Ditto that! I saw the event on Fox News at lunch.
That guy was great... “Hire this Man!” is what I was thinking.
It hit me during the last debate Uh-ba-ma-uh is just like the crappy commander in Aliens, the 2nd Alien movie:
“How may drops have you been on commander?”
“12...... simulated” And then he completely breaks down during the fire-fight- I can see it now.
And Sarah is our Ripley! Get away from that office desk you b*****!!!”
That should be O-Farce One smells of Hadji-funk!
I wish John and Sarah would give examples that people can connect with on taxes, most especially Obama’s capital gains tax. Anyone who plans to retire and perhaps buy a smaller home, or is forced to relocate, or sell his home for any reason will have to pay 38% of the gain (or whatever Obama dictates) in cap gain taxes.
Similarly, if you are saving for retirement by investing in the market, Obama wants 38% (I think) of that profit as well. So much for the elderly and retirees.
And if I’m not mistaken, Obama has a similar estate tax proposal. I’ve told my children to expect a greatly reduced inheritance if Obama wins.
McCain.... Maverick ay? That guy in the stands needs to give some of his testosterone to the bi-partisan one.
Oyyyyyy....McCains fire in the belly is like a dim pilot light.
If this is true, then we need to start a prayer chain for the Secret Service, should he be elected.
Poor guys!
Until then, let us pray to our Creator that our brave protectors do not have to suffer such fumes.
You boys are really uncharitable. It’s a good thing I can appreciate that you’re not downright mean ;-)
“He who digs a pit, will fall into it, he who sets a snare, will be caught by it”
No worries Tx4evr.
I’ve never seen a campaign where the supporters scream at the candidate to attack the opposition—has anyone?
McCain disgusted me when he proposed the government buying up mortgages for people who can’t pay them. I have lived in a financially conservative manner for my adult life. WHERE IS MY BAILOUT!
That said, I see his strategy. Use these national forums to appeal to the undecided moderates (that Rush describes better than I can) and go conservative on the stump with Sarah.
Sounds like McCain will be more like Nixon than I would like. However, Obama will be worse than Carter (who delivered me from the clutches of the Democratic Socialist Party in 1980).
Not sure what you’re on about.....
