Hi
Hiya Fuddie!
..When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “Stick to the Devil you know.”
On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “The Wages of Sin is Death.”
In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “If you don’t work you die.”
Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more...

Good evening Fudd Fan! :) =^..^=
I will be here for a short while, will be out tonight. Hope the sub is good.
Just darn, what a day. McCain has to jump on the stock market decline (just shy of 700 points) and give a basic economic lesson to the nation.
How? I guess he could buy ad time to try to explain what will happen if Obama gets elected and small business that provide the core jobs in this country will be taxed to death. Every thing I have gained in the past five years in my 401k has disappeared and I have less than a year until retirement. My frustration is with McCain not telling the facts on this — tell the nation who is responsible, forget “bipartisanship”. Take it to them, ACORN, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Dodd, Frank, Obama.
My apologies to those like SEMom that are in worst straits than myself. I’m not hurting right now. But I fear for the future in the worst way.
Congrats Cedar Dave for winning the MLSBA! :) =^..^=

McCain gaining on Obama in new Rasmussen State Polls (Florida, NC, NJ)
NJ: 50 to 42 for Obama (on 9/16 it was 55 to 42 for Obama)
FL: 50 to 47 for Obama (on 10/5 it was 52 to 45 for Obama)
NC: 49 to 48 for Obama (on 9/30 it was 50 to 47 for Obama)
The only exception to this positive trend in Rasmussen state polling is Michigan, where McCain is now down 16. McCain’s very public withdrawal probably hurts.
You have FReepmail back. ;-)
Hi Fuddy, Scott Garrett was on FOX just a bit ago.
Congrats 50cal Smokepole for winning the MLSBA! :) =^..^=
Congrats JLI for winning the MLSBA! :) =^..^=
John McCain has pulled to a solid seven-point lead over Barack Obama in Indiana. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds McCain leading 50% to 43%.
Last month, McCain had just a two-percentage-point lead in Indiana, which has been one of the most reliably Republican states in the nation. Parts of northwestern Indiana, however, are effectively suburbs of Chicago, Obamas home base. During the Indiana Primary, strong turnout in this region almost enabled Obama to pull off an upset victory.
(Want a daily e-mail update? If it’s in the news, it’s in our polls).
Nationally, Obama has been gaining ground in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll ever since the turmoil on Wall Street began dominating the news.
This month, McCain leads 43% to 39% among unaffiliated voters in Indiana. He also leads 55% to 37% among men. Obama has a modest 48% to 46% advantage among women in the state (Premium Members can view full demographic crosstabs.)
McCain is viewed favorably by 59% of voters and unfavorably by 39%. Obamas ratings are 50% favorable, 48% unfavorable.
Both candidates running mates are viewed slightly less favorably by Indiana voters. Joseph Biden is viewed favorably by 48% and unfavorably by 48%. Sarah Palins reviews are 57% favorable, 41% unfavorable.
Rasmussen Markets data shows that Republicans are currently given a 59.9 % chance of winning Indianas 11 Electoral College votes this fall.
Not surprisingly, the economy is the top issue of the election for 50% of Indiana voters, with no other issue coming close. Voters in Indiana trust McCain more on this issue by a 48% to 41% margin. Nationally, voters are divided on which candidate they trust more.
Just eight percent (8%) of voters in Indiana rate the current economy good or excellent. Sixty-one percent (61%) give it a poor rating. While only three percent (3%) say the economy is getting better, 81% believe it is getting worse. Similar sentiments can be found nationwide in the Rasmussen Consumer Index. LINK
Voters say creating economic growth should be a higher priority than reducing the gap between rich and poor by a 64% to 25% margin. Most believe McCain agrees, while the majority thinks Obama takes the opposite view.
Investors, who make up 66% of voters in Indiana, favor McCain 56% to 39%.
President Bush earns good or excellent job approval ratings from just 28% of Indiana voters. Forty-eight percent (48%) say he is doing a poor job.
But he did get Sarahcuda to say “when did 0bama know about Ayers”. That's HUGH! No one has asked that yet.
ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe reports: At a Thursday afternoon rally at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden fired back at his Republican counterpart Gov. Sarah Palin for a comment she made two weeks ago about his age.
“Sarah Palin says, you know, ‘I was in second grade when Joe Biden was elected to the United States Senate at age 29.’ That’s true, but she was in sixth grade the last time John had a new idea.”

Who da fudge is Gallop polling? Downtown Detroit?
Every other poll has this at dead even
Will say a great big HI! to all who both post and lurk. :)=^..^=
Thanks for the ping...
Was anyone else more than a little disturbed by the call from Jessica re: Secret Service on Hannity?
Joe Biden is so dumb that it took his speech writer two weeks to come back with a zinger.
I don’t want to hear platitudes from President Bush or any more bailout proposals. They haven’t helped except to take the nation away from a free market economy. I want McCain to address this. We have one more debate; he needs to take the bull by the horns and take charge, damn it. I can take the current hits if I know we will have an administration that will address the problem and not one where socialist RATs control all branches of government and the press too.
Who ever is the guest host, he needs to connect 0bama to ACORN.
“Obama Formerly Represented ACORN, Taught Classes For Future Leaders Of ACORN, And They Endorsed His 2008 Presidential Campaign, Obama’s Campaign Paid Over $800,000 To ACORN For Get-Out-The-Vote Efforts”
http://www.sunherald.com/prnewswire/story/859286.html
I wish these questions had been asked a month ago, but I guess people have short attention spans so they have to hit it close to the election.
AMEN.
Did I send you this Stern piece re: Ayers/Education?
(shakes head)
{not}WOOF!!!
ALL IS WELL!
