Hi Charlie,

As you might have heard, I am covering the McCain/Palin appearance today. At the media breakfast at the Pfister Hotel about an hour ago, you would simply not believe the vicious, nasty conversation I just overheard between several "elite" media types from the McClatchey news service, AP, and a couple of other sources I didn't quite catch.

Over the course of just a few minutes, I heard that "Sean Hannity gives Dick Cheney the best head of his life," and that he and Lou Dobbs are "mean-spirited sycophants," and that McCain himself is "angry" and "crusty. One even recalled a recent campaign event at which Sarah Palin autographed a supporter's Bible, prompting this "objective" journalist to remark "these people terrify me."

And this was just in the span of a 10 minute conversation! I simply cannot believe that these are the people entrusted to cover the McCain/Palin campaign fairly and accurately. I have never before wanted to do a show like yours quite as badly as I do right now--so that I can expose these people for who they really are: unabashed, unashamed partisans whose callous, bitter attitude towards conservatives very clearly permeates their work.

Since we can’t get all these ‘journalists’ fired, we should insist on full disclosure.

IOW, in every report, every video piece, the reporter would have to append “Obama Supporter” (or “Obama contributor” or “Democrat supporter”, whatever) to their name in print or on screen (or they’d have to speak it, if it’s for radio).

If it could be proven that they lied about that, then the news org would be required to fire them.

I know, never happen. Just fantasizing, I suppose.

From the rumors I’m hearing from various places - sources like James Carville - we will NOT throw the first punch as it were. Obama advised Odinga’s entire campaign from “Community Organizing” to “campaign financing”. Corsi says he literally - escaped Kenya WITH EMAILS that without a DOUBT are authentic and PROVE that Obama KNEW of the plans to incite tribal strife, and call “voter fraud” if he lost he election. Obama is more dangerous than I think many realize here...

Here is what I recommend. Anyone who is going to be at a campaign event/rally where MSM “journalists” will be covering the event, should spend about $50 to $70 to get a decent digital voice recorder. (I’ve got a Sony that is approximately 4 inches long, 3/4 inch thick, and 1.5 inches wide, so it easily fits in a shirt pocket.) Situate yourself near the “journalists” and if they are engaging in such a vicious hateful conversation in a public place, record it. (The reporters should certainly have no more of a basis for assuming the conversation is private than GWB did when he pointed out Clymer to Cheney and called him a major league gas-hole.)

Here is one idea. I would have no idea how to get it started or who to contact. Maybe a thorough poll, with questions like what networks do you watch for news. What networks do you watch regular programming on? These questions can have follow ups like rating each network, and why you feel whatever way you do. From there take the poll to individual programs, do you watch, if not have you ever watched and why did you stop watching.

Pollingpoint uses a format like what I suggest to find out what business you have heard good news about, what ones you have heard bad news about, and favor ability ratings for congress and politicians, even restaurants. I have never seen a thorough poll done on the media.

And the sense I am getting today (finally) is that more and more Americans are truly fed up.We have nothing to worry about when a majority sees the media for the biased POSs they really are and when their employers are close to bankruptcy and they are close to losing their jobs.

If the zerO machine does win this election, there is going to be anger from the center and the right beyond anything we have ever seen before. Many middle class folks now have nothing left to lose. At the very least it's time for an organized resistance. Like minded people need to become acquainted and learn to communicate and organize themselves as the left has done for decades. Bellicose talk is just that, and the govt./police apparatus that exists now would make very short work of lone "freelance freedom fighters."

We should know who like minded neighbors are and perhaps form some Constitution Study Groups to allow lines of communication (more important I think than weapons at this juncture) to develop. To know what skills and resources people can contribute. To put together plans for dealing with the social tumult to come. To learn how to thwart surveillance. Only this way will any resistance be effective.

Brandishing firearms, and defiant bellowing will only play into their hands. Just my two cents.

There’s more to it than meets the eye. Look at a video of a “press the flesh” session w/ Gov. Palin. She’s in the center of a whirlwind of people. She has to try to make personal contact with as many people in as little time as possible. She’s not going to stop and chat with one or two people for five minutes. It’s shake a hand, say hello, sign a scrap of paper and she’s on to the next person.

So if someone puts a bible in front of her, she’s going to sign it and move on. She may not even have time to closely examine it and see it’s a bible; if it’s open to the inside blank cover, how’s she to know? And she executes the reflexive instinct to sign and move on.

In the quickness of the moment, once she starts signing, what’s she going to do? Stop? Is she going to refuse to sign and offend the person who is obviously supporting her?

Sure, on reflection you might question the propriety of autographing a bible. But given the likely context, I’m not going to judge either person. What I do see is a bitter left-wing partisan media hack deliberately LOOKING for and CONTRIVING any excuse to stoke their fires of hatred toward Gov. Palin.

The talk show host PERSONALLY knows the guy who the local paper sent to cover the rally. IT is a liberal paper, but the name will come out. This was an immediately after it happened e-mail he sent to Charlie..........Charlie is the one who first put the ‘Help me John Kerry, I am stuck in IRAK’ picture on WTMJ.com. He has a 20 year history of being a responsible, albeit conservative talk show host. His radio station and the paper are both owned by Journal Communications. If he says one of his associates from the paper witnessed that at the hotel, you can bank on it being accurate.
