Despite the poll's findings, from what I can tell, even though this study was disseminated by PRNewswire, it has garnered very little mainstream media attention.
no MSM attention ? i'm shocked

Only 74%?
I bet the other 26% still believe they can make money by financing subprime mortgages and speculation in flipping houses.

While McCain wouldn't be able to single-handedly fix the financial mess, Obama would single-handedly make it infinitely worse. Increasing the capital gains tax at a time when the financial markets are screaming for more capital is financial suicide.
CEOs clearly understand it. About 45% of the American people understand it.
Unfortunately, unless another 5% of the American people wake up in the next four weeks, we are headed for financial Armageddon.

MSM response: Clearly, 74% of CEOs are RACIST! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!
It’s beyond sickening.

In less time than Obama has been running for president, the rest of America will know how big a mistake they’ve made, if they elect this radical. Carter will seem like a losing game of Monopoly compared to how bad things will get under the heal of Obama.

There’s a discrepancy here - the title and article in the link says it’s Obama that would be disastrous, but the excerpt here says it’s John McCain.

In expressing their rejection of Senator Obama, some CEOs who responded to the survey went as far as to say that some of his programs would bankrupt the country within three years, if implemented. All communist/socilaist governments collapse this way.Russia was a rich country, with lots of resources, so it took 80 years to run it into the ground. We are not.Our economy is bankrupt, and our resources have been declared off-limits by the very people who will support this regime. The only bright spot here is that there isn't the money left to run a socialist country on for very long. Hopefully it will be short.

Tax Policy Center:
Obamas tax plans would cost the U.S federal government nearly $900 billion in his first term, and increase the national debt by $3.3 trillion over ten years.

To: kingattax
Im not terribly excited about McCain being president, but Im sure that Obama, if elected, will have a negative impact on business and the economy, said one CEO voicing his lack of enthusiasm for either candidate, but particularly Obama. That is the money quote for me in terms of why we can still have hope on election day regardless of the polls. There very well could be a large number of people, some may call it a "silent majority", who may not be enthused enough about McCain himself to answer a stupid poll when called, but will have no problem at all voting on election day and making sure that Obama does not totally hose the country.

Word needs to go out as a drumbeat that the reason the stock market is continuing to fall is because investors are afraid of what will happen if Obama is elected.

Not surprised. Now is not the time for us to be wasting money on Obama’s expensive programs.
Also, a word to the clueless (DU lurkers mostly):
While there are a few rotten CEOs out there, most are pretty clean. Treating all CEOs as part of some evil entity that must be brought down is retarded.
