Ive seen debates, read articles, and watched Internet clips of stump speeches. From what I can tell of the character of the contest, from positions on issues, the process has not yet emerged from the Democratic Party primaries. Perhaps more accurately still, it seems we no longer have two distinct American political parties. The donkeys and elephants have been put to sleep. The limited democracy of the de facto two-party system has given way to a single predefined political agenda.
The only political choice on offer is a more complete transformation to international socialism. The established drivers, including extremism in entitlements for women along with the destruction of marriage and family, environmentalism and energy control, and financial control are moving along unchecked, without the benefit of fact and reason, without any real account of cost verses benefit or damage verses good. The domestic agenda has been decided, internally by the party factions, away from where it might be effected by popular votes. Democracy is dead in America murdered. ... cont.

If there is no difference in the parties, what is all this fighting about. Can’t the forest for the trees Roger. The differences have never been more stark.
It’s fighting between the factions for power. Haven’t you heard that John McCain is going to use Al Gore as an advisor too?
Been there for 232 years and counting.
BTW: You should at least skim the whole article if you haven’t read it.
meaning?
My wife and I already voted for McCain/Palin by absentee ballots (mine in Florida, hers from Michigan); we had to really hold our noses while doing so. The debates the other night were two democrats fighting it out over who would spend more! McCain’s better on gun rights and abortion, but I’m really starting to think conservatism is dead in the GOP and I think that is going to cost McCain the election. Hopefully we’ll nominate a SMALL GOVERNMENT conservative next go-round.
The liberty of millions yet unborn hangs in the balance in this election, and between now and Election Day, someone needs to expose those who control Obama's agenda.
"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes." - Benjamin Disraeli
And you’re right. The article goes a bit deeper and possibly offers some additional information and consideration - not forgetting that “conservative” is all about preserving the US of A - Constitution and all. Are we witnessing the death of a nation?
McCain is not simply doing too little to challenge him. He’s following him into the abyss.
Except for the Presidency, I’m voting all third party and no taxes this election, and I encourage everyone to do the same and spread the word.
The usual--money, power, and ego.

...never seeming to question that the puppeteers who have programmed and introduced him onto the American stage have a plan for this nation that does not coincide with the ideals of the Declaration and United States Constitution. McCain is the backup plan. |

Yes, I think we are. I think it's pretty much over.
The US has always been on a dangerous precipice and always will be.
There will always be well-funded groups who oppose our freedom for their own purposes and the majority of the population is indifferent.
Only about 120 million out of 300 million Americans will even bother to vote in this election.
Barely 30% of colonists polled in 1776 wanted independence.
We’ll always be dependent on heroic individuals to maintain our freedoms.
Better Mac, than this wobbly , wussy, socialist pacifist to be CIC. What is astonishing is that people would turn to a failed ideology to solve our democratic capitalism problems and if that happens, then this nation slides into real darkness.
I can’t spell. ;)
No problem. I think it was a keen review.
I thought conservatism was dead too when it was still McCain/Fill-in-the-Blank. Now I’m willing to put up with the lesser of two evils with Sarah Palin being the light at the end of the tunnel for 2012. (Instead of a continued slippery slide for the republicans).
In fact, the more I learn about Obama, even if it were McCain/Lieberman - I may have voted for McCain. Awhile ago it would have been a protest vote for Duncan Hunter, Obama wins, the republicans see that we want a conservative in office, and we pick up the pieces in four years.
Now, if Obama gets in, I doubt there will be any pieces to pick up.
From your article: The established drivers, including extremism in entitlements for women
I congratulate you on daring to point that one out on this forum. Expect a flurry of harridans and men who support them to pounce on this should they ever actually read the entire article much less in context. The above statement is the Elephant in the room that Republicans ignore or excuse. That one phrase describes a large part of what is driving the losses of freedoms in this country. The subject is too long for me to go on in more detail and I'm sure to get flamed out of town for even daring to point out the truth of the matter. Keep these articles coming, Roger. You are back on top of your game IMO.
Thanks. I still have the heart of a researcher / analyst and may seem to wander around a bit before bringing it home. It’s part of the process, after blocking off the dead end arguments.
Excellent article. Unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the things you say.
Yes, it is unfortunate. Thanks for not shooting the messenger.
Many are terrified of the truth and react by ridiculing those who point it out.
I like it.
