Because the Democrats insisted on it, and they run the House

I thought they got that earmark deleted from the bill that passed. They didn’t?

Because Congressional Dems have been channeling them money for many years. If you want their vote on any big vote dealing with housing you gotta give ACORN a cut of the vig.

The corruption is incredible - leftie political activists funded by our tax dollars.

Because it’s the government, no matter who runs the congress or the white house.

Uhhhmmm..As far as I know, they aren’t getting any of the “bailout” monies. But they were already getting a serious chunk of Fed Money, under pre-existing Housing funding.

I am certain a large portion of the bailout money will find its way to them, but it won’t be directly from any provision in the bailout bill, as far as I know.

And from what I heard, there is at least one senator trying to get the funds that are already going to ACORN, cut off, at least until the voter fraud investigations are done.

Incredible, isn’t it? But they’ve been getting our money for a long time now. The organization of “community organizers” that threatened lenders/banks with lawsuits if they didn’t lend to (mostly minority) borrowers with weak (and often non-existent) credit histories - Iow, the group that helped get us into this mess in the first place - is funded by U.S. taxpayer dollars. Then again, the U.S. taxpayer funding commie ogs is nothing nrew.

A bailout passed earlier int he summer actually earmarked more than 100 million to ACORN. The effrot to get more in the latest bill were defeated, but only because John McCain went back to DC to give gravitas to the Republican resistence to the Democrat pork for cheaters.

I believe Newt said on FOX one evening that it was $130 million and they woul dbe using it to run the attoney assault on the election process in the battleground states if Obama lloks to be losing. ... The democrats of course put this in the summer aid program to housing, under some pretense of helping ‘people of color to stave off foreclosures.’ Newt was not allowed to elaborate on the facts of this because Comles immediately saw the negative for the democrats and interrupted him. Alan Colmes needs his nasty interrupting mouth sewn shut for a few months.

Because ACORN is a Democrat constituency and has been involved in election fraud.

This is what the Dems are about. During the 70’s, with inflation and unemployment in double digits, and the Democrats in control of both houses of Congress and presidency as well (during the Carter years), taxes and social spending continued to ramp up. The cut in defense spending (”Vietnam Dividend”) that we were supposed to get when we pulled out of Vietnam, went not to tax relief or job creation, but right down the welfare toilet. This is just history repeating itself.

• Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992.
Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

Obama is clearly lying on his fight the smears site.

Do not trust it.

1st qoute is fight the smears.

Second one is off his own site.

Made by him.

The fact is fight the smears is just a site dedicated to covering Obamas radical ties with lies and distortions.

$130mm would have paid off quite a few of the mortgages that are the crux of what has created this crisis. Guess ACORN used it for other things. It’s our money, it would be nice to know!

I’m really pissed - they steal our money and use it to benefit themselves and their friends. The whole system is full of rot.

People are so stupid, they actually think BO is going to put a stop to this.
