You want to pick apart my personal life instead of dealing with the fact that you are voting for radical Feminism.

"To any critics who say a woman can't think and work and carry a baby at the same time, I’d just like to escort that Neanderthal back to the cave,” the Anchorage Daily News quoted Palin saying last March, after the surprise announcement that she was seven months pregnant with Trig.

Even liberal Feminist are smart enough to know that Sarah Palin is wrong. Women cannot "have it all". That's why liberal Feminists worship abortion.

Republican Feminists want to pretend that as long as they let the baby live to be handed over to caregivers, they can pursue their selfish "career fulfillment".

Republican Feminists think that they are more moral than liberal Feminists. Both types of Feminists fail at both jobs - motherhood and career.

Do you come with any setting other than Hyperbolic Fluster? Asking a person who presents herself (himself?) as a child-rearing expert how many children he has isn’t “picking apart her personal life.” It’s part of the give and take of discussion, in which people who offer “expertise” are expected to give some reason why anyone should take them seriously.

However, you don’t seem to do “discussion,” anyway. All your posts could easily be summarized as, “This is a recording. This is a recording. This is a recording.”

There is no point in discussing child care when Sarah Palin doesn’t do much. As a Feminist career women, she neglects her children.

Why would you vote for such a person?

Why would you want to normalize that for the America?

What is your explanation for all of our social problems today? Do you see any connection between missing mothers and the divorce rate, dropout rate, teen pregnancy rate, child health problems, medicated and ignored boys, poverty rates and big government?

Sarah probably spends less time neglecting her family with being a public servant than we do spinning our wheels on the internet every day. At least she accomplishes something.

AS I recall, both Joe Biden and Al Gore have a couple of trouble prone sons.

I hate to talk like this, especially to another Freeper and, presumably, conservative, but you’ve got serious problems.

Two bad jobs with damaged kids and a socialist Feminist-friendly country.

God, I ask in Jesus’ name, please bless this brave mother, and particularly, bless this beautiful little life You have created through her.

May little Trig, like the lovely song “edelweiss”

“Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever”

I humble pray to You, the Creator of us all.

Tax-chick, you are totally clueless!

I was born in ‘43, the oldest of seven girls. I learned at my momma’s knee how to make “spit-curls” on my little sisters’ heads. In our family, we took the top hair, spit it good, and then curled it around our fingers into a little wave around our index finger, sticking straight up. Actually did it for family photographs.

Spit curling baby hair is a very old tradition, and is much more “eco-friendly” than hairspray, if you stop to think about it!

Little Piper is only passing on the “old-fashioned” way of making “baby-hair” look cute and groomed.

I am guessing you have no “baby-skills”, and therefore should be pitied.

I’m going to take my own advice and not argue with obsessed people. I might hurt the keyboard or damage my glasses.

Bless your heart!

Nothin’ personal, but that makes me go UNNNGH. Of course, I’ve got mostly boys, and we shave their heads.

That’s a nice exit line - can I just point out that you never discussed anything but your own obsession?

Please, donna... park your prejudices at the door!

I was a SAHM, way back when it wasn’t cool for someone with my “IQ” to do so. But, I thought through my situation, my energy level, and my personal interests and decided that I was happy at home, and had a husband who was obsessed with his work (architect).

I did a great job as a SAHM, but I wasn’t there 24/7 for my 4 children. I pursued my own intellectual interests, and while supervising, gave them a fair amount of benign neglect.

Did the notion of “timing” ever occur to you? It is good for the older children in a family begin to learn “care-taking”, and depending on a mother’s interests, many careers are very compatible with good mothering.

Get over being an absolutist, for it isn’t very becoming.

This isn’t about personal stories.

I’m talking about the larger meaning of Feminism to the culture and the country and civilization.

“The proudest boast of Communism is that it has finally emancipated the woman. Marx writes: “Differences of age and sex have no longer any distinctive social validity. All are instruments of labor.” The key word here is instrument which reduces a human being to the dignity of a monkey wrench. The assumption was that woman was free as soon as she became available for production. One of the paradoxes of our irrational world is that woman today is glorified when she produces an Atomic Bomb, but not when she can produce life. It is like praising violinists for producing sewer pipes instead of melodies.”

My “prejudice” is in favor of the Judeo/Christian culture that gave women liberty and made this country great.

Feminism/Socialism/Communism/Fascism are all one thing: slavery.

Your response wasn’t very understandable to those of us who decided to stay home back then and parent our children.

Even though we were smart enough to know we had other choices. (hmm, should I get a law degree, try for HBS, or open a chi-chi shop?)

Perhaps because it is late, and I am tired (old, too)

Could you explain your position without an abstruse quote referring to the larger meaning of feminism to the culture, country, and civilization.

Those of us who chose to be SAHM’s in the early 70s weren’t supposed to be bright enough to decipher the instructions on the back of Jello boxes. And, if we trusted our husbands, we were dumber than dog food.

So, maybe us old “girls” need simpler explanations. Perhaps you could break out the crayons and explain it to us?

Having come late to this thread I have to say that you come off as a self righteous religious fanatic. Nothing against religion but people who go act as if women should just stay home and keep a minute by minute watch over their children are not very realistic. My mother raised me and my brother as best she could, she worked from the time I was born until I was 9, because our father took off and left us. Is she one of the feminist you are crying about?

She would have worked after her second marriage but my step father didn't want her too so she didn't. My brother and I had lots of free time without her breathing down our necks, old time mothers raised their children that way, they didn't see them any more than a working mother does because they knew the child had to learn self sufficiency in order to mature into something other than a total wimp.

Women can have careers and raise children also, Sarah has done a great job, so her daughter got pregnant, so what, she is 17 and for all intents and purposes is an adult, her child was NOT killed and dropped into a garbage bin for disposal and she will most likely do a good job raising it. Your whole attitude about Sarah is, quite simply, BS. Think how you like, but you are wrong in your thinking and I resent the fact that you characterize women such as my mother as unfit and some kind of radical feminists simply because they had to work in order for their children to survive, and don't say you didn't lump single mothers in there with your statements, you did.

One more thing, many, many stay at home moms had outside interests that keep them away from home as often as a working woman, do you think they are radical feminists also?
