People who become writers and intellectuals and artists tend not to want power that badly or pursue it that obsessively, which is what makes us interesting and fun ...”

*****

Writers, intellectuals, artists.....elitist code for non-producers. They view themselves as the intelligentsia who know what is best for us rubes. And I find them decidedly self-obsessed and boring.

The Texas Rangers are Elite.

Nah, they were 4 games under .500 this year.

Notice this, in general,

that wealthy libs (”elite”) didn’t have to work very hard for what they have.

Again, I’ll state - wealthy libs haven’t had to work hard for what they have. Otherwise, they’d be conservatives.

Sarah’s life is a living indictment of these “elites’” petty little existance.

She doesn’t have to say a word of condemnation, she just has to BE.

My ability and premier accomplishment was raising two children who love their country. Are the first to help a friend in desperate straits, who give their best in every situation.

Son served in the US military and continues to take the time to visit the old veterans.

Both do community service and are the first to offer a hand up when needed.

Please don’t speak for me.

This article is 100% accurate.

Women are their own worst enemies.

Please don’t speak for me.

Now I'm confused. Since you say that your original statement didn't apply to you, how can there possibly be any "we" to whom it applies? "We" is generally understood to mean "myself and others."

Congratulations on successful child-rearing. There is no more important accomplishment.

Eastern elites like to think of this as provincial so that they can discount people who may have different beliefs than they.

Proof of your point, from the comments to the article on Forbes.com:

"Sarah Palin's governorship only demeans Alaska and all the hunters, inebriated fisher-folk and Inuit who elected her to that office."
