Those of us with vivid memories of middle school have seen Gov. Sarah Palin's type before. She was the girl who was always the first to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and the last to stop instigating fights in the cafeteria.
She was the girl who always had just enough self-awareness to know when the boys were paying more attention to her than to other girls. Her specialty was flattering the alpha boys around her. Terrified of losing her exalted place, she quickly perfected the art of saying nothing of consequence. She rambled because the boys thought it was cute. If she ever had an original thought in her head, she was discreet enough to keep it to herself. She was the conformist who fancied herself a leader.
From an early age, she knew the power of a strategically placed hand on the bicep of some jock. Girls like Sarah Palin knew how to secure a place with the "in crowd." After all, she was the girl with the iridescent smile who provided the laugh track for the meatheads roaming the halls pulling wedgies on those who would never qualify as "their kind of people."

I don’t know - I think that million dollar media conglomerates going after Palin’s daughter (who can’t fight back) is pretty “bullyish”.

Doesn’t work as an article because Palin has proven to be the most substantive candidate in the race by having the guts to call out Obama on his deep connections to Bill Ayers. From now until election day, I can’t see anyone being able to pull off the smear that she is anything but long on substance.

Hey, Tony, girls like Sarah were some of my best friends in high school, and they’re nothing like what you describe. They were smart, ambitious, nice to everybody but let nobody take advantage of them, and successful in school and in their later lives.
You’re scared “The Annointed One” is gonna lose, aren’t you? At least get some of that nasty stuff to paint on your nails so you’ll stop biting them.

That’s a strange comment. I was married for 2-1/2 years back in the early ‘70’s to a “strong woman”. I’ve been married to another “strong woman” for over thirty years since. Note: 2-1/2 years versus over 30 years.
Perhaps you could define your perspective of “Strong Woman”.
