RNC to File FEC Complaint on Obama Fundraising Practices
washingtonpost.com ^ | 10/05/08 | Matthew Mosk

A lawyer for the Republican National Committee today said the party will ask the Federal Election Commission to look into the source of thousands of small-dollar contributions to the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama.

The RNC is alleging that the Obama campaign was so hungry for donations it "looked the other way" as contributions piled up from suspicious, and possibly even illegal foreign donors.

"We believe that the American people should know first and foremost if foreign money is pouring into a presidential election," said RNC Chief Counsel Sean Cairncross.

Cairncross alleged there was mounting evidence of this, and cited an Oct. 4 report in Newsweek that documents a handful of instances where donors made repeated small donations using fake names, such as "Good Will" and "Doodad Pro."

RNC,

How about finding out if he is a citizen while you are at it.

I know it’s a small thing to you, but just maybe he isn’t.

Maybe they waited until more and more objective evidence became clear. Hopefully, they sat a trap on the dems.

"a bit late eh?"

Indeed. And the McCain/Palin ticket are campaigning in CA. It's almost like they don't want it. And what could that mean?

Well now, using this as a reference McCain will show up at the voting booth on Feb 1, 2009.

Yeah, NOW you decide to file something, now that the money is already in and most of it spent or going to be spent. What’s next, you gonna get after that voter fraud issue? What a collection of incompetent clowns running the RNC, a bunch of complete losers. The average Free Republic poster would be a significant upgrade to virtually any of the Republican Party ‘leadership’.

Sure they’ll look into. Next year.

Maybe the Senate could hold hearings. And McCain could divert our attention with a call for Campaign Finance Reform?

Good. We need as much negative stuff about Obama as we can come up with.

There is going to be so much sh*t flung against Osama, there is no way he will be able to deflect it all, even with the MSM carrying his water.

Yeah, how many months have they been claiming that Obamessiah is raising 10’s of millions a month from “small, online donors”? Crap. Somebody needs to donate a few thousand cases of Red Bull to the RNC and McCain campaign.

I think that gazillions of small credit card payments from Saudi Arabia might have an effect on some voter’s perceptions of this guy.

And the only way to stop this stuff is to make the offending campaign give the questionable donations to the OPPOSING party. This business of “returning” the money is bogus since that is never enforced to see if it was really done. Ditto for “giving it to charity.” If you can’t trust these corrupt campaigns in raising the money, you certainly shouldn’t trust them to give it back.

Yes. We all no nothing will be done about it before the election. They should have filed the complaint before the campaign began!
