Explosion Kills 7 Russians in South Ossetia

MOSCOW — A car bomb in the South Ossetian capital of Tskhinvali killed seven Russian peacekeepers and two others on Friday, raising tensions in the separatist enclave days before a scheduled pullback of Russian troops from Georgian territory.

President Eduard Kokoity of South Ossetia said he had “no doubt” that Georgian special forces were behind the explosion. The acts, he said, “undermine international efforts to stabilize the situation and torpedo the Medvedev-Sarkozy plan.”

The blast comes six days before a Russian deadline to pull back from the so-called buffer zone outside South Ossetia, returning a large swath of land to Georgian control. European Union monitors began patrolling the buffer zone on Wednesday, in accordance with a cease-fire agreement brokered by President Nicolas Sarkozy of France and agreed to by Russia. President Dmitri A. Medvedev of Russia agreed to adhere to the timetable for withdrawal.

“The last terrorist act in South Ossetia proves that Georgia has not abandoned the policy of state terrorism,” Mr. Kokoity told the Interfax news agency.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian peacekeepers in an ethnic Georgian village stopped two cars carrying firearms and grenades on Friday, detaining four men who had no documents. They escorted the men to their headquarters to search the cars, one of which exploded during the search. Two of the detained men were killed, and eight others were wounded.

A car bomb in the Austrian capital of Vienna killed seven German peacekeepers.

See how that doesn’t work? The NYTs should be ashamed of themselves.

Please remember to use the right terms in the right places. Let me give you some examples for your reference:

Russian peacekeepers are protecting the Georgians.

The United States invaders have occupied Iraq.

Georgian terroists have attacked the Russian peacekeepers.

The Iraqi insurgents (or freedom fighters) have fought back against the American occupiers.

The NYTs should be ashamed of themselves.

Are you kidding? They exposed a highly effective top secret terrorist surveillance program. They should be in prison. Big boy prison. I mean San Quintin, Alcatraz, Leavenworth. We should do what the French did and send them to equatorial Guyana where they die by the dozens of malaria and dehydration. How many American lives have they cost?

Sure seems like it. Now they can’t pull back, not with those Georgian aggressors threatening Russia.

Issat right?

Now, what would the motive be for Presidnet Kokoity to make such a proposition?

Does anyone know?

In July, 30% of So. Ossetia was ethnic Georgia.

There're gone now thanks to lunatics like you.

The fact remsins—and they are facts that Georgia is not the angelic state that your think it is. Wake up and don’t be fooled by the rhetoric in the MSM.

When leftists support Georgia - you should start suspecting that all is not the way it seems.

Try analyzing instead of being stupified.

The fact is that Georgians themselves are sick of the little tyrant that the state dept cronies support - Saashkavili.

He heads an autocratic regime that tramples human rights and stifles democracy. If that is the kind of garbage you want the US to support-—I fear for this nation.

Russian dude. The world is a little more complicated than you think.

There are leftist NWO types, there are jihadists, there are the freedom lovers and then there's the tyrant, Putin.

Just because the left and the tyrant Putin doesn't get along doesn't mean that any of them are good.

You get?

I doubt it.

You're right, you should move to Russia. Enjoy Putin's love first hand. Don't let the door hit ya, comrade.

We supported tyrants all during the cold war — no problem because the alternatives were worse.

Now that the Marxist beast has been emasculated we continue to do business with dictators and thugs whose goals are islamification. And China — good buds...and the Saudis - easily the most repressive regime in the world after N Korea - notice the intimate dinner party for the newly elected Maoist leader in Nepal most recently.

Being a US patriot means that we get to try to make things better not maintain the SOS. Got it duderino?
