It’s not McCain/Palin, it’s the NRCC (House GOP committee).

Neat video, but wasn’t put out by the McCain campaign....and doesn’t mention Obama’s role in all this.

It is unfortunate that this is a congressional ad. If McCain had the jewels to put out an ad like this, he could point to the fact that Obama received over $100,000 in funds. Unfortunately, it only points out the Dem congressmen in the hearing. Still, a fabulous ad. Wish McCain would get the clue.

About time. This had better be #1 in a long series.

I guess the McCain campaign decided to wait until the Bailout Bill passed before playing the Fannie Mae card. That may make sense. I'm not sure.

Where the hell is this AD on TV???????

If the RNC would simple call around the base and guarantee any donations would go to THIS ad....they would have tens of millions pouring in.......

The are inept.......Web ads are meaningless....Get them on TV. Stop calling me asking for $$$ for no intended purpose. Call me and tell me you will run this ad and I will fork over as much as I can afford.

Very good but it should mention McCain’s sponsorship of a bill to rein in Fannie and Freddie ... and how the RATS kept it from going anywhere. What happened in the Senate is actually more relevant because IIRC Bambi opposed it. I dont know about Biden, but I suppose there is a decent chance he opposed it also.

They did not mean in real property and low rate must approve mortgages. For reparations the mean MONEY! Cash.

How are they going to furnish the house and buy a second new car without cash.

Get with the “language” of the hood.

Great ad here - Answer me this? Why doesn't the RNC offer up these such ads (via the web or through email) and then allow the base to donate money specifically for in particular ads to be run on TV.

As I said above, the RNC constantly calls looking for money from me (or from my wife when I'm outside of CONUS).....but with no real agenda. Simply to raise money.

If they would call and say, go check this ad out and such and such web address...and if you want to see it on TV....there will be a place to donate money for that exact ad to be run..... Hell, they could even allow you to be more involved by offering 4 or 5 key battleground State for you to choose where you want to see it run (among those States - Thus giving you even more choice as to how you would like to see the National campaign run).

Be creative, be aggressive...The RNC could raise millions and millions more....(even if you did it via a 527 route)....There is none of this out of the RNC....

McCain better get his wallet out and run some ads, because the left has got the media to do it for free.

Inside Edition (CBS) just did a solid 10 minutes on Cindy McCain and her ‘addiction’ problem. We knew this would surface, except they did a more thorough job than any of us did in the primary. They even covered ‘McCain’s coverup’ etc.

Maybe this will bring out some passion in him.

No. This ad is just preaching to the choir. Those of us who already know about the things in this ad say, “Yeah! That’s right!”

People who don’t know about them - and that includes nearly everyone who gets their news from the MSM - will discount the sheer volume of scorn and negative info.

This is unlikely to be an effective ad. It was still fun to watch.

In Central Texas my wife will surf several channels trying to find a McCain ad, so where are they? She’s not talking about youtube and really, how much of an impact do they have on youtube? I would guess very little. But on TV? We’re not seeing ANYTHING McCain/Palin—but there are Obama/Biden ads.

The RNC is one bunch of lame ducks, I’m tellin’ ya. I do battle with them everytime they call, you see, we put up but we’re not seeing any return (TV ads).

No Sinclair, no Ayers, No Rev. Meeks, Fr. Phleger, No Jeremiah, no Malcom X, no Frank Davis, no Rezko, no Khalid al-Mansour, no crack, no pot, no gay sex, no Chicago corruption, etc, etc, etc

The crisis is because the lending laws were loosened up because of the minority borrowers who we were not being fair to.

Do you really think they will risk the “bad press” on something like you are proposing?

I believe the ad is very good for those who have looked at a little more background.

I fear that too many Americans don't know what they are watching when they see that ad. I'm not criticizing the content of the ad — I believe it speaks the truth, but more detailed explanations need to be presented.

Somebody has got to spend the money that it takes to explain the basic point that those with a socialist agenda (getting people into houses who don't deserve the credit, etc.) — that this is, in affect, a shrewd redistribution of wealth scheme, and an attempted bring-down of the market system.

I have not heard in interviews or debates any significant explanation of the Democrats blocking of attempts by the White House and Senators McCain, Dole and others to reign in the culprits in ‘03, ‘05, etc.

Conservative organizations need to band together to buy a minimum of 30 minutes of TV time to put the details together for the American people.

Someone needs to publish a time line for us on paper.

Beginning of the sub-prime mortgage scheme — WHEN?

Who was participating? — WHY? WHEN?

Exactly WHEN (WHAT DATES?) did the President send warnings to the Congress about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

In what form did the President send warnings to Congress? What documents are there? What are the names of the documents? What are the dates of the documents?

Later, when Senators McCain, Dole, and others co-sponsored legislation to tighten regulations, and it was blocked by the Dems, what are the document names, and numbers?? What are the specific dates?

Something needs to be prepared in a chart/time line form and made available (NOT VIDEO) that we can download in print and mail to our elected representatives, friends, neighbors, families, and others.

Absolutely correct. The average voter sees that and thinks politics as usual. If the ad is on TV it will be in very select congressional districts. Most of us will never see this.
