Gov. Palin Was Great, Now Some Pointers For McCain
Canada Free Press ^ | 10/03/08 | Yomin Postelnik

Despite the talking heads, who would have awarded the night to the pompous, condescending, finger wagging Sen. Biden had he spent the entire night doing a rendition of Porky Pig (which would have been characterized on TV news shows as “down to earth and in touch with all creatures of the world”), Gov. Palin blew her opponent away. When one talking head read off a script that had either been penned or at least planned before the debate had even taken place, George Stephanopoulos was visibly surprised and almost demanded an explanation. Of course, that was right after the debate, before he and other media men will have had a chance to “see the light.”

The media will play back supposed “highlights.” They will play up Biden’s best line and Palin’s worst. Yet even then, the two will be almost on par. Any fair analysis shows Biden as whipped, beaten and ready for a starring role in an arthritis pain commercial, and Palin connecting with voters, sharing their concern and having the facts on her side. But don’t expect a fair analysis coming from the Obama war room known as the network editing division.

George Stephanopholus is so much in the tank for Obama that the can not hide his own feelings, which he reports as “news”, and he should be dismissed as a journalist.
He has no credibility.

This from Canada?

"Otherwise he’s too ignorant to serve."

Yes, I think that sums up Biden very well.

I’m voting for Sarah, but since that has to go through McCain, I have some simple advice for him. Stop with this non partisan dipwad, dimwitted horse crap, and go on the offensive. Hit Obama hard on his lying nonsense, and crush this wave of Obamadolatry. Let Sarah get out in front, if that is what it takes. Go McCain/Palin!

“Palin could have, and McCain should, go after Biden and the Democrats on Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae. “

I’d like to see some ideas as to why the McCain camp ISN’T going after Obama and Biden on this.

(please, PLEASE no “because McCain is lame/stupid/poked himself in the eye stuff)

Anyone got any constructive ideas?

He’s the one who brought her to the table. He’s also great for needed independents. His campaign’s just got to start painting a clear picture of the differences between him and Obama/Nutjob.

The scary thing is that he and Chris Cuomo are actually moderates compared to most “journalists.” You see it and it shows.

Canada Free Press is operated out of Toronto but has mostly US columnists (for example I’m here in Fla.) and mostly US readership. It’s the lone exception in Canadian media and worth a read.

Thanks, Yomin. CFP just isn’t one of my news sources. Perhaps I need to add it to my list.

Anytime. It’s got a wide range of commentary and columnists. Their cover stories (or top page features) are usually very detailed.
