Going into last nights vice presidential debate, Big Media had molded the very negative narrative that John McCain had committed a fundamental mistake by selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate. Her recent interviews, they said, proved that she was not ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. That narrative even had some media commentators predicting that a bad performance in the debate could be a death blow for the entire McCain presidential campaign.
But last night Sarah Palin reminded us why so many Americans are galvanized by her candidacy. In fact, she blew last nights debate out of the water. She knew her facts, talked about her experiences as an executive and as reformer while keeping the focus on the top of the ticket. Things went so well that by nights end even Obamas chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, had to admit, I think she did very well tonight.

She kicked his ass with a wink and a grin.
Damn right, Axelrod! We may have witnessed the revitalization of the McCain campaign. Now if John can keep the momentum going with a strong town-hall presence at the next debate.
I'm soooo glad I turned it on right before Biden uttered the word Bosniacs
I had to laugh out loud. What a great stress reliever!
Homerun is right. Ball hit out of the park and hitting Obama in the head on it’s way down.
Bosniac is a real word you know...
Bos·ni·a (bzn-)
1. A region that constitutes the northern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was settled by Serbs in the 7th century and became an independent state in the 12th century. Bosnia was controlled after 1463 by Turkey and after 1878 by the Austro-Hungarian Empire, which formally annexed Bosnia in 1908. After World War II Bosnia was united with Herzegovina to form a constituent republic of Yugoslavia.
Actually, a term used to describe Muslim Bosnians. (according to Wikipedia)
I supposed it (the term) could have been added to Wikipedia just recently (less than 24 hours?) but I doubt it.....
“Big Media had molded the very negative narrative that John McCain had committed a fundamental mistake by selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate.”

Which was bought hook, line and sinker by some even here on FR, based on Governor Palin’s alleged mediocre “performance” (sheesh), during the carefully laid minefield and editing circus known as the Couric interview.
If Conservatism is going to ultimately win, and win it must-Socialism must be exterminated, not simply tolerated, we meed to stop trying to succeed by the alleged standards of the hopelessly biased, propagandizing LeftMedia.
Uh, im my neck of da woods we call em Bosnians. Never ever heard em called Bosniacs, except that one time on Star Trek. Now Biden, there’s a brainiac. That’s probably where he got confused.
It wouldn’t surprise me now if Biden himself votes for the Palin/McCain ticket.
Who is going break the news to Katie Couric that America has a new sweetheart?
Most people have no idea what you can do with raw footage of video.
I have video and audio editing experience.
I can make people say things out of context and string unconnected phrases together. I can add dumb-look pauses that go on forever making people look like they have no clue. I can add off-camera questions that have nothing to do with the answers to make the person answering look like an idiot.
Kinda like p-o-t-a-t-o-e.
Dang. I wish I could quote that on my blog.
Axelrod aside, even the miserable like Palin which makes their harsh words more shameful. Sarah is the epitome of the successful American girl (lady), and to hate her is to hate America - period.
“Factual errors”. The words are nicely chosen. However, outright, premeditated lies sums up the situation a bit more apropriately. Biden knew he could go into last night and lie his a** off about senate votes. Palin would have little chance of knowing the truth, nor would most other folks without having spent decades in the arrogance 100.
If you have been able to view the Couric entrapment piece, in your expert opinion, just how heavily edited was it? We have had numerous individuals posit their opinion on this here on FR, but it would be very instructive to hear the informed opinion of a professional.
Thanks.
Was that a human being that Sarah was debating, or a ventriloquist dummy?
What was his name again? I forgot.

I had to explain this to my mother yesterday, specifically about the Couric frankenstein edit.
She called me right after the debate:
“I feel a lot better about Palin. Biden seemed like he was just glad to have gotten this far, like it’s as close as he’ll ever get to the Whitehouse. And Obama sure seems so inconsistent.”
Man, I gotta tell ya, that felt so good!
You have to understand, this is also the same day she called to tell me what Dr. Phil was saying on Oprah...
Michael Moore is extremely adept at manipulative editing in his propaganda films.

Joe's IQ is higher than mine, I guess.
So much for Biden the Constitutional scholar.
What a tool.
Couric's reputation has now been diminished.
Also, I thought Sen. Biden had said something about helping out an Obama presidency by working with the legislative branch - this was said BEFORE he criticized VP Cheney.
This stood out for me and I’m glad someone else is mentioning this.
Or as one of the talking heads on Fox News said last night, “She knocked Biden out using a velvet glove.”
I like the Bristol’s Mom video much better. Not sure if it is intended to be sarcastic or not, but I like all the glam shots of Sarah.
If only McCain had opposed the bailout from the beginning... He better start attacking Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the Franks and Dodds of the world, becausse people are interpreting his silent as complicity and guilt.
The media has been moving the fence in to little league proportions. This makes the 400 foot home run look all the more impressive.
ACTUALLY ...
"potatoe" is correct, too.
Kinda like 57 states?
Wrong copy & paste—Maybe they just added the definitions to help out Joe “Stretch” Biden, but according to several sites, Bosiacs are Muslim Bosnians.
Michael Jackson gets more positive coverage than Sarah Palin.
Fidel Castro gets more positive coverage than Sarah Palin.
O.J. Simpson had more people defending him on TV than Sarah Palin.
Al Sharpton (jew hater, riot starter, fraud peddler, murder inciter) gets fawning coverage from the media.
Louis Farrakhan gets far more positive coverage from the media.
Sounds like your mother has her finger on the pulse of America! ;-)
Seriously -- at least the pulse of the non-political junkies, just the people we need to reach!

Sarah did SUPER !!!
She's got 'em running SCARED now ...
Ping! Ping! Ping!
... and on THAT note, I gotta head out for the day.
Ya’ll have a GREAT one!
"Stand Up Chuck!"
Seats still available to watch Thugs and Plugs!
Watch Obama's secret Banking Committee solve the Bailout Crisis. They'll inflate checking accounts with Biden's mouth and Obama's magic air pressure gauge.
The wackiest, ACORN'iest comedy act in all 57 states!

[special thanks to Rush Limbaugh for the pic]
The story the media should think about now is just HOW BAD did they purposely edit Perky Katie’s interview in order to make Palin look bad, and has it come back to bite them now.
So....that's the source of Katie's jealousy!
Liberal women see Palin’s life as an accusation.
I have to disagree. She evaded and dodged questions that were posed to her. She was meek when she needed to attack the Democrats for what they did this week. Very disappointed.
Biden was using the standard liberal argumentative technique: spout a lot of lies or half-truths masquerading as facts while showing supreme confidence to make himself look knowledgeable. It's hard to fight back with real facts in that case because it's just comes out as he-said-she-said in a debate. Biden knows the media won't call him on any of his lies so he can get away with it. Sarah did her best to retort with concepts, correct concepts of course, but sadly too often people consider spouting information (true or not) as more impressive than articulating concepts.
And all this talk about greedy, predatory lenders with no fingers pointed at the real culprits (Fannie, Freddie, Dodd, Frank, Carter, Clinton, etc.) didn't help any. Obviously that's being fed to her by the campaign to keep in line with McCain's limp-wristed approach to this situation, but they need to realize they can't out-populist the Democrats.
I just really do hope she made a direct connection to the American people. While I'm happy that everyone was so pleased with her performance (I was, too, but I thought she looked nervous, but with that much pressure, who wouldn't be?), the media will do their best to tear it apart. I hope people saw through Biden’s facade and lies cause nothing will be done to dispel those.
I'm guess I'm just getting more and more nervous as we get closer with the way things have been going and the way McCain's been botching things and missing opportunities.
I saw that as “not playing the MSM’s gotcha game”.
Hey, Joe’s enjoying it.
yup.....
