Like Ike said, you don’t get your presidents from Capitol Hill. I know McCain is from there, but at least he commanded a naval squadron before that.

I watched it...it was like a slow-motion bomb going off in Stalin’s face! The funniest part was when Colmes did the same thing to the next guest, I think it was Lieberman. He started reading his talking points like it was the rosary...what a f’n idiot!

I think a better part for Alan would be the janitor for the stage set...he could talk to his broom and his mop as if they really meant something and try to convince them to follow his talking points...they would naturally revolt and wipe up the floor with him and his dyed hair. You don’t need to be sorry. That’s just my take. I am glad folks are starting to speak up also. There’s no doubt Palin is a breath of fresh air. Frankly, anyone sounding the least bit Conservative in Washington would be, and she’s far more than that.
We share happiness in her presence on the ticket. I’m not quite convinced she is ready to be president, but she’s at least three times as ready as Obama is.

I know...I thought what a pathetic idiot who obviously is incapable of learning from experience. I’ll bet his wife yells at him all the time why he can’t be as successful as Sean Hannity and make the same amount of money. In that light, I certainly do feel sorry for the poor bastard...no way out!!! Can’t take it out on the boss of the household, so do it to your guests...in hopes that Hannity will be able to persuade them to come back on the show after Alan treats them so shabbily.
It is annoying to see Alan disagree with us, to be sure. Look, they could have someone a lot more annoying than Colmes on there. James Carville, Ann Lewis, or Lanny Davis come to mind. Some of the leftist are simply vile. Colmes takes some pretty good shots on the show, and rolls with it. I obviously disagree with him 99% of the time.

If we didn’t have Alan Colmes, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Henry Waxman, we’d have to invent them...
Don’t forget also that Colmes makes millions being the lib foil for Hannity and, to be frank, all of us. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe the tripe he spews or he isn’t a truly committed/demented lib. But, he makes a helluva living sitting there and taking a fair amount of abuse (all deserved) - not just tonight, but several examples recently (I think it was Rove who, not too long ago, just basically told him “Alan, you’re embarrassing yourself!”). Reminds me of the “evil” foil in the old WWF/WWE.

Yes you’re right. I will add that even though I differ with Alan, I thinks folks should treat him respectfully. He believes what he is spewing. We should disagree and out his logic for the flawed logic it is, but we don’t gain by going over the top with him.
Rove just lowers himself when he does that. And I’m not trying to put Rove down here. That’s not the goal.
I’m not a big fan of Rove, but here I simply disagree with what he did as you describe it.
