Yes, our public schools have become less about teaching our kids math, reading, writing, science, and history and more about subtle and nuanced liberal indoctrination and brainwashing. From Fox News:
Virginia Republicans are in an uproar after the state teacher's union sent an e-mail to its members encouraging them to wear blue-colored shirts to school to show their support for Barack Obama. State Republicans are calling it an undisguised attempt to influence students' political views.
The Virginia Education Association sponsored "Obama Blue Day" on Tuesday. In an e-mail sent last week, it urged teachers to participate by dressing in blue.
"There are people out there not yet registered. You teach some of them," the Sept. 25 e-mail reads. "Others, including our members, remain on the fence! Its time for us to come together, voice our unity, because we make a difference!"
"Let's make Obama Blue Day a day of Action!" the e-mail continues. "Barack the vote!"
One could call it UN blue.
Just out of spite all the teachers should wear RED.

Most of my wardrobe is blue, I think I look best in it.

I think it is just campaign words to get some of the undecided voters over to his side.
He really want camps for the young people to learn how to follow his every word.
Could one of you lovely ladies please explain about the teachers’ “union” in Virginia. It appears some folks are a bit confused as to exactly what the VEA is.
I was at school on Tuesday and didn’t notice any inordinate amount of blue being worn -— of course blue is one of the school colors and so is a very frequent color seen in the halls.
In the federal government, conducting partisan political activities on government time is a no-no.
So we won’t be wearing the brown shirts; it’s blue instead.

I would have been organizing a group of parents to keep their kids out on a particular day. We would call our the office and report that our children had the “red flu”. Think of the $$ the schools would lose until the “red flu” was cured.
