It is nice on live threads to at least put in the time the thing starts. Linkage to online streams is nice as well.

The pressure this lady is under and the demonstrated grace with which she copes with it says volumes as to her strength of character. Just my humble opinion.

I think Sarah Palin is an inspiration to many folks who are as disgusted with our government as I am. I am sorry that such a straight talking bright star in American politics is going down fast with the dismal performance of John McCain.
I fear that after this election is lost, she may never return to the National Stage.
In the last debate John McCain made two emphatic statements:
"My friends I can promise you this: I will use the veto pen and I will never sign on to a bill with earmarks attached." and...
"When congress sends me a bill with earmarks I will expose the people who are behind them. I WILL NAME THEM PUBLICLY!"
It looks like John McCain is turning out to be the politician that the New York Times told us he is.
Thank You Sarah, for giving me a couple of weeks of excitement.

Has she been playing dumb lately to sandbag this debate? She’s handled a number of interviews poorly. I smell a scam (on her part) in the wind. (or at least hope so!)

I’ve read speculation all mornin’ whether Gwen Ifill will tone down her agenda or even try to be nice and hide her agandy based on new facts and book sales.
My money says not only no but HELL NO!. Gwen is a socialist who is still looking for the 40 acres and a mule.
My read is asking Gwen to hold back is in her mind, equal to telling Rosa Parks to go to the rear of the bus.
Her blackness will be called on to pedastal Owanna B. and fell Sarahcuda.......
To: 2ndDivisionVet
I’m thinking she is actually opposed to this bull$hit bailout scam, but has to spout McCains mantra.
She’s coming up soon on Hannitys radio show.

I spent the day in New York with Sarah’s biographer, Kaylene Johnson. She wrote the book, Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down. She interviewed Governor Palin on a number of occasions and she really likes her. We were at Glenn Beck’s show today and Glenn had General Stockdale’s son on with Kaylene. Glenn likes Sarah a lot.
Please support Kaylene’s book. It’s a short read that was published this spring. Kaylene is a VERY sweet woman. She was pretty nervous but Glenn out her at ease saying, “Don’t worry, you are more American than any people living on this island.”
Kaylene has really gotten beat up by a number of lib journalists, the worst being Gail Sheehy who is writing a big Palin hit piece for Parade.
To: llevrok
I don’t think she did it on purpose but the media obviously did. They could have a real problem if she does well tonight.

Biden is an experienced orator. His impressive experience and depth of knowledge will give him the edge on every issue.
For those who aren't convinced, CBS have released this pre-recorded footage of Biden practicing for the debate.

Come on FReepers! This is our big night. We were so excited when McCain picked Palin. We saw how well she did during the convention. She and her family have been savaged by the media, and yet still she stands. We owe it to her to watch this debate and cheer her on. Let’s stop believing the media and the Democrats. Sarah will be fantastic tonight....McCain/Palin will win in November...Obama is not electable.

I don’t think anyone should get their expectations up. She just learned all this stuff within the past month and half or so.

I don’t think she will. As her dad says, she is strong.
She has to be to have put up with everything she has already gonge through from the left.
That said...the drive-by gang will paint her the loser unless she knocks Biden’s hair plugs loose.

What is going on in your state as far as McCain commercials and mailers? It's been non-stop Obama commercials and mailers here in Missouri. Where's McCain?
Why isn't there alot of rallies with McCain and Palin?

She knowingly withheld this info from the Commission because she was obviously determined to be chosen. One would hope that her credibility has been severely damaged. She was given a pass this time, but it will be interesting to see if she’s ever allowed to moderate any future debates.
