Im a little sick of the idea of using children to promote political positions and especially candidates, so Im inclined to look at this kind of effort with a jaundiced eye under any circumstances. However, this video seems even creepier than most. Sing for Change brags about getting 22 children from 5-12 to regurgitate some execrable lyrics as though they had the first clue about the topic of the songs:

just might have legs...we shall see
i just dont see how anyone watching this video can brush it off, outside of Obama’s base.
Start them young and you can tax them heavy...
It’s really creepy.
There’s a pattern there, if you ask me.
People take kids to rallys and such. Pretty normal stuff.
But this was so over the top it is chilling.

Kids cant say the Pledge of Allegiance.
They dont know the words to the Star Spangled Banner.
The Battle Hymn of the Republic is a complete mystery to them.
And My Country, ‘Tis of Thee is virtually a relic to young people today.
BUT THEY CAN F%@%#$ SING SONGS OF PRAISE TO THIS JACKASS!?!
Oh I am soooo hoping for this guy to go down in November it hurts!
Isn’t this a violation of McCain Feingold?
NBC produced this video, it mentions The Name Of The One (piss be upon him) and urges the listener to vote.
This cult of personality we have going in the US in 2008 tells me all I need to know about how it could happen.
Reminds me of the HJ. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler_Youth
Probably recruited the kids from some under-funded public school in Chicago.
I would make a reply with my 10-year-old holding his M1 Carbine while singing some tune with the words “From My Cold, Dead Hands,” but the state would take away my kids. It would be tasteless, if not untrue, as I would do anything to protect my kids.
I don’t think so. A guy who works high up in NBC made it or maybe a few guys who work high up in NBC, not NBC as a corporation.

Crucify him, crucify him....
Suffer the little children to go unto Obama...
Eeeeeeeeesh.....
Nope.... the awful thing is that they show some of the proud parents. Typical lib activists, by the looks of 'em.
The choir master was the one that gave me the real chill.
I remember back in college thinking that if I had a time machine I would want to visit Germany in the 30s to try to understand how they could have been led down the path to destruction by a narcissistic megalomaniac...
Yeah, they messed up - but at least they had a better excuse than we do. They were flat on their backs and thought they had been cheated and oppressed by the Treaty of Versailles shenanigans. They were looking for someone to rescue them.
What's our excuse? Fat, dumb, and lazy. Some zero, whose only skill is reading off of cue-cards and teleprompters, has become the new 'hero'... What a parody. Its one thing to pick false idols, and men with feet of clay -- but exulting this flotsam and jetsam is a bit much... I still can't believe Mr. Obama will actually get elected -- but the fact that he garners over 40% in the polls is a telling statement about how far we've fallen. If 40% of this nation can fall far a con artist who can't even think fast on his feet (i.e., he'd flunk out of most con artist colleges), with a big zero on his resume ... we have a bunch of people walking around who have turned off the switches to their brains. That is not healthy for any of us.
This is just icky.
I think that if “middle america” saw this, they would be horrified.
I feel like I’m living in some science fiction, apocolyptic novel right now. Or a really cheesy after school special. (Does anyone remember “The Blue Wave”?)
Worshiping the One? Creepy indeed...
It would be nice if McCain-Palin would have a chorus of kids singing “God Bless America”. (Take that, Rev. Wright!)
