McCain/Palin Could Win this Election by Exposing the Trillion Dollar Scam
American Thinker ^ | 9/28/08 | James Lewis

Posted on 09/28/2008 3:23:15 PM PDT by LucyJo

Sarah Barracuda could win this election on Friday night for the Republicans. All she needs is the courage to tell the truth in her debate with human gaffe machine Joe Biden -- with John McCain's permission and support -- to tell it like it is.

If the great American middle class ever figures out the trillion dollar phony mortgage scam from Freddie and Fannie, they will finally rise up in wrath and throw the liberal bums out. Let it start hitting their pocket books, their ATM cards and credit cards, let their home prices fall like a rock -- and Barack Obama will be out of politics, along with the Democrat majority in Congress.

For conservatives this is the opportunity of the century.

The democrats role, particularly dodd, obama and frank, need to be kept in front of the public in ad after ad after ad. They are responsible for the lack of oversight that caused this economic mess. The taxpayers need to be reminded every day until the elections.

For conservatives this is the opportunity of the century.

For the life of me, I can't understand why one Republican would want to vote for Pelosi's "Wall Street Gold Parachute Act of 2008." Any Republican who does vote for it should also be required to kiss Barney Frank's ass on CNN during primetime.

I’m so upset over this bill, I am spitting nails!! 2 seconds of seeing the smug criminal faces of the EVIL DEMONIC LYING SOB on FOXnews was all I could take!! Pray that our base will NOT go wobbly. Sarah is NOT Washington....she has every right to be self righteous in the face of an old time lying, cheating, plagiarizing idiot like Biden...

there is no question that they will send a forceful and mocking Joe Biden out there.....

Sarah must start with "Senator" but if he gives her the Bamey crap and calls her "Sarah" start calling him "Joe" and call it in a sarcastic way

exp....city council....mayor ...governor..important energy panel....

make a point that she has no lobbyist son..her son is in Iraq....

make a point that Biden has forever tried to prevent drilling and energy indepedence for America, all the while America is forced to send $700billion a year to terrorist countries ...

So far in this campaign. She has been the only candidate that has spoken truth like I speak it. In her I found my voice. I hope that she continues with that impression in this debate and does exactly what the article describes.

Every American is a Taxpayer. Every American is not a rich corporate CEO, Bank Executive, Mortgage manager or business man.

Why is it left to the taxpayers to clean up this mess that was created by greed?

A wise women once said we need reform to “End the culture of self-dealing” Now is the time for that women to express the frustration of America. Announce to the world that Taxpayers cannot afford this bailout.

Socialism is not the way to manage capitalist failings. Let the market take care of the Market.

Not going to DC for the vote? He had to suspend his campaign to work on this problem, then left town for a debate he said he wouldn’t do until the bailout problem was fixed. Then he ended up getting the blame for the mess it turned out to be, and now it isn’t important to be in DC for the vote. Good grief, who is running his campaign lately?

If the McCain handlers don’t set Sarah “Pitbull with Lipstick” Palin loose on the Demagogue scum Friday night then it will be an enormous failure to tell it like it is.

The election could be won Friday night with the correct series of attacks on the Demagogic socialists. 70% of Americans will reject what Obama/Biden/Frank/Schumer/Pelosi/Reid et al stand for — it just needs to be explained to the public in terms that non-economists can follow easily.

This is a golden opportunity to expose the Fannie-Freddie cesspool embrace with Chris Dodd, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, Barney Franks, and so many of the Demagogues who have scammed and degraded our housing and mortgage markets to the mantra of “affordable housing.”

They can’t get trillion dollar appropriations to subsidize mortgages for the poor, so instead they destroyed the mortgage and housing markets in this country by forcing a fraudulent system upon every bank that wanted to keep its “viability” with the govt-driven mortgage markets. Of course, some banks seem to have had the good sense to stay away from the Fannie-Freddie scams, but for all the ones that got “onboard” with issuing unjustifiable mortgages just b/c they could pass them off to Fannie and Freddie for repackaging, the reckoning is at hand.

Please McCain camp, do not fail to take this opportunity to set America straight on what has happened under the CRA etc. as the Demagogues have rampaged against honesty, decency, fiscal sanity, and common sense.

A lot of Republicans share blame too, but the Demagogues are the ones who set the agenda and rammed it down peoples’ throats — if you questioned this b.s. you were called a racist, insensitive to the poor, etc. etc.

If the Demagogues want to run a massive trillion dollar social welfare program for the poor, let them advocate it in the open political arena and compete for budgetary funding. Of course, since they know they can never win that battle, they took the devious route of depravity to babble about “affordable housing” by wrecking the normal sane procedures for evaluating applicants for mortgage loans. Forcing their “public policy” goals upon private industry was just another step in their lockstep march toward complete socialism

Sorry, the media have already decided to crucify John McCain for giving the House Republicans the exposure to oppose the democrats ramrodding through their version of the $700 billion bailout which would have sent 20% to ACORN. Clearly, President Bush would have signed whatever the democrats sent to him else he wouldn't have been sending his liberal Paulson and blind Bernanke out to push this monster bailout. You know that it was a monster because Reid and Pelosi have tried to claim their almost balckman messiah, Obama, made changes to protect taxpayers, while the truth is the democrats were trying to slush more than a hundred billion off for ACORN! Get a damned clue.

John McCain stepped in personally to give real Republicans the stature to resist Reid and Pelosi but more importantly, PRESIDENT BUSH!

The way the latest version is reading, it may be the only way to unlock the liquidity crisis. If it is, John McCain will be a hero for getting in scReid's and Pelicanosi's faces to stop the damned ramrodding of socialist crap down American taxpayers' throats.

Without John McCain personally going to Washington to do his job, Harry by God Reid and Barney buttsnake Franks would have waltzed their socialist solution down your ignorant throat.

McCain-Republicans should take credit for cutting the bailout money in half and were able to put a lot of the provisions that they wanted in the bill including not giving ACORN any money. Take credit for success rather than let the democrats enjoy all of it. Most voters do not like whiners.

One of the key things to remember here is that this was not caused by a lack of oversight, but by bad oversight that forced lending institutions to abandon sound financial practices in the pursuit of a PC agenda.

Most interestingly, the people who stood to gain most from these bad business practices jumped in with both feet. You get someone like Raines or Johnson and you think “How the hell did someone like that get a hundred million in compensation from Fannie Mae?”

The answer is: Bonuses and incentives. The more money they pushed out the door to people applying for mortgages (regardless of whether their credit was good, bad or non-existent) they more money they got in bonuses.

They got to the point where they were allowed to lend out 30 dollars for every dollar they actually had to back it up. No consequences. No repercussions. Nobody there to fire them for knowingly making bad loans, and no customers who would leave and go somewhere else because of such exceedingly poor business practices.

In effect...both Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac had been removed from the normal market forces. This is classic socialism. And look where it has brought us.

It was as if people like Raines and Johnson had their own printing press, and that money made it back to scumbags like Dodd, Obama and Frank. It is corrupt and it is criminal.

I agree, and McCain needs to say DEMOCRATS are responsible. Hell, it will even help in the congressional races IF they play it right. McCain seems to be so afraid to sound "partisan", it's sad. He is going down in the polls not because of the moderates, but because conservatives start to get disheartened.
