My son is shipping off to Marine bootcamp in a few weeks.

He visited his myspace page last night and one of his many friends in the military told him that they checked their sources and indicated that the name that Barry said was on his bracelet was not active duty military. Some even indicated that he was an older gentleman. Apparently these guys are livid at what Barry did.

Is anyone able to verify if this is just a rumor or if Barry may have simply made up this name?

I dunno about a braclet But I did see something yesterday that kinda shocked me.

Did anyone else see on FOX News yesterday as Odumbo arrived at Ole Miss? He stepped out of the SUV pulled out his suit on a hanger and flirted with the media there. Whenever the camera got a straight on shot he clearly had an earring in his left ear.

They replayed the clip a few times and I had to make sure that’s what I was seeing and I have NO DOUBT about it.

Not that I have anything against earrings, I have one myself in mt left ear but I’m not running for President and don’t believe the look is very Presidential.

But what he didn't say is that his buddy and Annenberg Challenge partner, Bill Ayers, was given a ring by the North Vietnamese communists made from the metal of U.S. aircraft shot down over Vietnam. Planes not unlike those flown by John McCain. The 'gift' moved Ayers to tears.

Barack Obama is wearing a wristband in memory of a soldier killed in Iraq, given to him by a mother who said she wants the Democratic presidential candidate to keep others from dying.

Tracy Jopek of Merrill, Wis., gave Obama the bracelet at a rally Friday night in Green Bay, and Obama was still wearing it Saturday as he campaigned across the state before Tuesday’s primary.

The bracelet has her son’s name, Sgt. In 2006, his sister, Jessica Lynn Jopek, wrote this poem in honor of her brother which was later posted in an Iraq War blog on Sunday, August 6, 2006. (Pasted below.)

The issue is not that a fallen hero, Sgt. Ryan David Jopek, never served in Iraq. He certainly did and gave his life there.

The issue is that Barack Obama used him as a political tool but could not even remember his name.

Sgt. Ryan David Jopek and his sister both knew what he was fighting for even if their political activist mother and Barack Obama did not..
