I think you may have contradicted yourself...
“I most certainly do not agree that there is a coordinated effort by those two entities (big business and government) to screw over the American people.”
“As a matter of fact, I don’t agree with any gov’t intervention in this matter at all. It’s unconstitutional and unwarranted in a free market.”

Let me make my position patently clear to you two, since I obviously failed to do so the first time around:
No, I don't think anyone who disagrees with the flawed Paulsen plan is a sissie - just the opposite. I think those that cry doom and gloom and turn a tearful eye to the government for salvation (and there have been plenty around here lately) are seriously misguided.
HOWEVER - I don't hold the President in contempt because he's convinced this is the way forward. I don't see this as some great conspiracy to bilk the American taxpayer, I think he really believes this is necessary for the constituents in his charge. I may disagree with his view on this, but I still believe him an honorable man albeit a misguided one.
BTW, you can take your snide Rush remarks and go pound sand, you sanctimonious jerks. I think for myself, which obviously more than you can say.

An even proportion of that enormous, outrageous bail-out for everyone over the age of 18 who works for a living.

What would happen if they gave that money to the taxpayers directly? Immediate, wild inflation, probably. There would have to be limits for a period of time, as to what could be done with such a distribution, to prevent it.

Well my friend, if you honestly think a politician does not take advantage of his office to further his own interests to some degree I need not even attempt to substantiate my points.Pretty weasely response. You have called him a crook, an accusation which you obviously cannot substantiate. So I don't wonder that you have responded with a fluffy statement that utterly fails to support your contention that Bush is a crook.

Under Bush, we are witnessing the biggest expansion of government in American history.
And all this time we've epxected *that* from the Democrats, all the while neocons we're sneaking up behind us...between this and the SCOTUS decision on private property I've had it with the good cop - bad cop routine presented to us every four years.

It's all very sad, and downright disturbing. In a way, I'm not really surprised how all this is now playing out.
It almost seems orchestrated.
Best of luck to you.

Fluffy and weasely response eh?
You have proven my point Maceman, thank you; having a logical discussion with someone that is not logical is not worthwhile.
To: cougar_mccxxi
I’m perfectly willing to have a logical discussion with you if you can provide some facts to back up your initial assertion that Bush is a crook.
Logic without facts is not logic.
