The kid is right, the school is wrong. They set the rules - wear red, white and blue to show your patriotism. They should give the kid an award for creative artistic license. After all, our tax dollars are given to artists to create far worse (and more expensive) art.
Just wait until 2009, when all registered Repulicans must wear an elephant embroidered on their left breast, and all businesses operated by registered Repulicans are spray-painted with the word, “NEOCON”...
Have you seen the interview with the kid and his dad?
Thankfully, there were 57+% that recognized that the kid should not have been suspended.

I did and I will go against everyone else's view here. As much as I might agree with the content of the T-Shirt the father had no business sending his kid to school with that shirt on. He was being an idiot and teaching his son to be one as well.
Put the political signs on your lawn, car, whatever not on your kid.
I agree. The kid will surely be miserable for a while over this.
