Palin Snub Rocks Jewish Community — and the Presidential Race
Pajamas Media ^ | September 21, 2008 | Jennifer Rubin

It remains to be seen whether this issue will plague Obama as he continues to struggle to establish both his foreign policy credentials and his support for Israel. One supporter of the McCain-Palin ticket on Capitol Hill remarked ruefully, “Has it occurred that the reason that neither Obama nor Biden would show up is maybe that they would rather meet with Ahmadinejad without preconditions than protest his presence at the UN?”...

Patently false headline. The hosts were threatened by Obama with loss of Tax Exempt Status.

I was going to say, the Democrats threatened these organization’s right to assemble, using the loss of IRS exemptions. I’m supposed to entrust these people with my country’s destiny?

“Sources say the axes were out for Palin as soon as Sen. Clinton pulled out because she did not want to attend the same event as the Republican vice presidential candidate.”

Are they sure that was the reason?
Maybe Hillary! just didn’t want to be in the same room as so many FJBs ;-)

(yea, I’m sure they ‘forgot’ she ever said that by now)

The motive for the snub is not relevant.

The headline is badly written. It implies Palen snubbed Jews.

Jews don’t like to be threatened and are aware of the rampant anti semitism on the left. In NY McCain is winning the Jewish vote by a wide margin. It does show the thuggishness of Obamatrons.

The hosts were threatened by Obama with loss of Tax Exempt Status.

Couldn't they have found ANY Democrat, even a low-level nobody, to attend and speak and therefore maintain bipartisanship and their tax exempt status?

Maybe not. If not, that's how lockstep, bullying and power mad the "Progressives" are.

Maybe not. If not, that shows just how very lockstep, bullying and power mad the "Progressives" are. What a great party.

The Jewish organization that organized the anti-Iran demonstration were craven.

I called them up today . . they said the only alternative to un-inviting Sarah was to cancel the demonstration altogether.

That is what they should have done, instead of embarrassing American Jews by snubbing Sarah Palin. These are the same kind of nobodies that did little to pressure FDR to help the Jews in Europe during the Holocaust.

The did try to bring in Wexler (D-FL/MD) but he wasn’t high profile enough to offset Gov Palin to the liking of the J Street Thugs.

The piece makes another excellent point. What message does this fiasco send Nutjob? Hillary pulls out, Palin is disinvited and Slow Joe can't be bothered. Wouldn't you're average insane dictator conclude the U.S. political class is not serious about restraining Iran's nuclear program??

That sounds like a job for Anthony Weiner.

They were pressured to drop her, using some very sleazy methods. The easier course is to go public with the threats against them and come out looking like a hero.

They could have stood by her. Instead, they folded and did the "disinvite."

I have to wonder how many Jewish voters have decided to join the Palin/mccain side because of this. This event was planned to bring attention to the enemy of Israel, Ahmadinejad, and these speakers were invited to help draw support. Who’s responsible for decreasing the event’s effectiveness? Obama.

Good point, distrust and even hostility to the bill of rights and to democratic principles has become part and parcel of the "Progressive mantra.

If the Rat’s achieve unchecked power, this is but a small taste of what will happen to most of our freedoms. If they can successfully intimidate under merely the possibility of ascendency, imagine what will happen if they hold the reins. Keep your weapons and ammunition well-maintained and hidden. I strongly fear wide-spred voter fraud is going to spell the difference. Midnight’s coming, absent a miracle.

Bullcrap. If threatened you either document it and release your proof, or, in the alternative you go public without the proof and hope your accusations provide cover and forestall the threatened retaliation. Moreover this is an umbrella organization of leaders from other Jewish nonprofits, not those nonprofits themselves. I doubt it has little status, money or influence that could not be transferred to another umbrella organization.

Don’t be played. This is a crap excuse. Stand up or sit down and shut up. It’s only your freedom of association and expression at stake. To the degree these are Ashkenazim, it’s the same crowd whose parents and grandparents walked into the ovens (with the exception of the Warsaw Ghetto). Some people are too stupid to be free.

My guess is none, or very few. Simply because this isn't being covered anywhere by here on FR and maybe a bit on FoxNews. Obama's well protected by the MSM.

And since he lives in Maryland, he wouldn't have to go all that far to get there!

The Jews in Obama's camp will have Israeli civilian blood on their hands if Iran gets a nuclear weapon.

And trust me, Iran will get a nuclear weapon if Obama wins in November.
