Former Republican prez hopeful Fred Thompson and one of the GOP's most prominent black figures, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, will be in South Florida in coming weeks to raise money for Republican congressional hopeful Allen West, who's challenging freshman Democratic U.S. Rep. Ron Klein.

This is great! Fred was my first choice, and before McCain picked Gov. Palin, I refused to send any contributions to the McCain campaign and was contributing to conservative candidates wherever they were. So I’m supporting West - even though I live in California - and am glad Fred is, too.

It's VITAL we get this hero into the pipeline. My dream tickets: McCain/Palin - 8 years Palin/West - 8 years West/? - 8 years The media and dimRats refuse to 'get it'. Whites are not against the obambi because he's black = but because of who is is and what he doesn't stand for (not to mention his lack of qualifications) - West stands for America. He stands for our Constitution. He stands for our troops. He has a proven record of doing the right thing, regardless of personal consequences. Oh, and did I mention: "He's black."

This is indeed great news! I hope Fred also goes north to help LTC Bill Russell in his quest to defeat gasbag Jack Murtha. And Michael Steele, too! I mention Fred specifically because he did donate to Bill Russell’s campaign.

This district (FL-22) gave Bush 48% of the vote in 2000 and 2004. I know Klein has a large fundraising advantage, but the FEC database is not working for me to give me specifics. I know back in the spring Klein had almost $2 million more than West, but today’s news obviously means the GOP sees at least an opportunity to retake a seat it held for over two decades.

Klein sounds a lot like a congessman from the Memphis area named Steve Cohen. I wish I could get that disgraceful socialist out of office. He is not near my district.

We just got back from Vegas and saw that Hispanic commercial for Obama. I could not believe it. Then I realized that they want more free Gov programs, too.
