A week after a high-profile send-up of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on "Saturday Night Live," the NBC comedy show returned to making fun of the Alaskan governor in a skit where New York Times reporters sought to probe the possibility Palin's husband was having sex with the couple's own daughters.
"What about the husband?" asked a Times reporter during a mock assignment meeting for the paper. "You know he's doing those daughters. I mean, come on. It's Alaska."
The assignment editor for the Times, portrayed by actor James Franco, responded: "He very well could be. Admittedly, there is no evidence of that, but on the other hand, there is no convincing evidence to the contrary. And these are just some of the lingering questions about Governor Palin."

Obama’s daughters, it has been written, won’t go in the bedroom with him and his wife cause he smells bad.
Perhaps, since this entered their over fertilized minds, someone might want to look at the relationships they have with their children.
Can’t we bring back the art of the Duel, just long enough to restore some dignity???
But let them keep at it. Most Americans are only drawn to Palin as a result and turn away from such trash in disgust.

The American people, who are watching and far more comprehending than the media and liberal elite give them credit for, are responding with the following sentiment:

Wow, this is just unbelievably sick. There is nothing remotely funny or appropriate about this, and I’d be saying the same thing if the skit was about Obama and his kids.
Just when you thought that the MSM couldn’t possibly sink any lower.........................
What’s next, Hollywood doing a remake of Deliverance staring the Palin family?
These people are truly deranged!
I heard Al Franken was back helping SNL. Maybe this is his hand, too.
This is a slam at the Times not Palin. They are talking about the media making up stories about Palin.
I just read about this over at AJ Strata’s blog, The Strata Sphere. He thinks that perhaps SNL was slamming the NY Times with their little skit. I didn’t see it, so I have no opinion one way or the other........but see what he says, if you like:

Unfortunately, the satire is not too far from the truth. If you look at the reporting on the e-mails, that is EXACTLY how the story was reported. The evidence showed nothing happened, but story after story suggested Palin might have been doing something shady. Now it was WAY over the line to use incest to make that point, and SNL should be called out on that.
From just this excerpt, it sounds like they are mocking the press and how they are covering Palin.
Reporter: “What about [this outrageous charge]?”
Editor: Could be true. We have no evidence for it, but we have no evidence against it. Another outstanding question.
oh good grief, let’s get real :) That’s a stretch is that a joke
SN L, just doing their job accoring to their PAY GRADE.
I think they were skewering the media...
They start (and keep) digging....
The depths to which liberals will sink never fails to amaze me. I’m not sure which is funnier, SNLs disgusting use of Palins daughters in this disgusting skit, or Conan O’Brian’s use of the baby with Downs for a joke...what a hoot these people are!
“From just this excerpt, it sounds like they are mocking the press and how they are covering Palin.”
whatever their point...it’s still trash...
and I still say, would SNL say the same thing about Obama...noooooooooooooooo
I believe that there needs to be a MASSIVE OUTCRY against Saturday Night Live....and NBC!!!!!!!
this is a chop down of the State of Alaska too. The time has come that we take off our gloves folks.
This is a war against Right and Wrong!!!!!
Polly....
Yes, it was a shot at the press (and dead on accurate one at that), but they should have made the skit using something other than incest. These kids have endured enough BS without that.
I am not laughing!
WND needs to get a clue. The skit was a hilarious and malicious attack on the NYT and their effete, biased reporters and culture. The reporter in the skit admitted there was no basis for the charge, but ran with it anyway and got the Pulitzer Prize. It was one of the best SNL skits ever.
Exactly, they could have said something like, “Sarah Palin is a space alien” and run with that. But throwing incest into the “joke” is not excusable. It’s grotesque.
I saw the skit and it was completely slamming the MSM for their retarded reporting. All the reporters were left wing moonbats. One was a feminist who sued the editor 3 times for sexual harassment, another jewish guy needed psychologists if he was going to go to Alaska and if there would be any.
Another guy kept asking if polar bears were going to attack him showing how out of touch they all were.
I thought it reflected poorly on the Paper than it did on anything they were trying to say about Palin.
WRONG! SNL, just doing their job accoring to their GAY PARADE.

.
Never do I watch that show, and NBC should be dropped in every decent market for such trash, if there is anything left at NBC after Olberman and Matthews lowered ratings
There is no evidence that Obama pimps out his daughters to the highest bidding pedofile either; but it isn’t alright to suggest it.
Or how about Bill and Chelsea or Jimmah and what’s her name, Amy? Don’t hear much about her these days do we?
A new low for even SNL.
The Dim Dhims are totally unhinged over Palin. They must be really, really worried.
Good.
What are the chances they take a shot at the press with a skit using these stories about white Dems not voting for Obama? ZERO.
I watched SNL and the skit.
They were skewering the MSM. Really skewering them.
You had to see the whole sketch to know how bad they were skewering them.
And SNL isn’t the one who first brought up the concept that there was incest. That award goes to KOS,DU, and various newspapers.
The folks at SNL may be in the bag for Obama; but that part of the skit was clearly a commentary on the media’s treatment of Sarah Palin. One of the few times they’re on our side, and here we are freaking out because nobody understood the point.
I didn’t see the skit but it sounds like SNL is brutally mocking the NYT rather than the Palins.
With a real reporter for the NY Slimes, I wouldn’t at all be shocked with such questioning...the skit is barely satire.
“Yes, it was a shot at the press (and dead on accurate one at that), but they should have made the skit using something other than incest. These kids have endured enough BS without that.”
Yes, and it could have been funny and in good taste had SNL used some preposterous Abbott & Costello premise for the subject of the investigation, but you know that the pathologically hateful Mr. Franken and his ilk couldn’t help but get in one more shot against Americans.
If ‘the New Yorker’ makes a joke, and liberals don't get it, is it still funny?
If SNL slips in a joke poking fun at media bias and their overreaching on the Sarah Palin nomination, and conservatives don't get it and liberals don't like it, is it still funny?
Honestly, I haven’t watched since Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscapoe went away.
Every time I hear the names of the new actors, I have no idea who they’re talking about —it’s been that way for DECADES, and I’m younger than the average Freep by far.
“I’m Buckwheat! ‘Member me...?” —the last funny SNL words I remember.
Anyone who thinks so are fooling themselves.
I saw the skit too. I think it was done as a counter balance for conservatives since it was entirely against the New York times and out of touch people living in New York City.
I suppose you could argue that the cast didn’t seem really into it and the skit was buried an hour into the back of the show thus it was hard for the liberals at SNL to really get into it. But it was a huge cut at the Times.
But still, I loved the line when he held up the photo of the snowmobile and the one reporter thought for sure it was a “baptizing machine”
“Yes, it was a shot at the press (and dead on accurate one at that), but they should have made the skit using something other than incest.”
True, but then again it’s SNL.
Time to get them thrown off the air.
I don’t see how you could read it any other way. FWIW, Lorne Michaels has been a McCain supporter in the past (donated $2000 to him this election cycle.)
these people are not gentlemen by any means
He smells and stinks in more ways than one.
Smells like a smug/arrogant/self-righteous/narcissistic/lefty/commie/socialist/traitor/racist to me.
OK, just go with me on this, ok?
Let’s say you had a skit showing Osama bin Laden and a couple of his friends in his cave.
Osama says to one of his friends
‘I’m glad George Bush, that baby eating moron, is being voted out of office. I mean, look at the New York Times polls. It’s all about McCain and Obama, Bush isn’t even on the list! That stupid baby eating moron. He will lose this election in a landslide!’
Now is that a joke about George Bush being a “baby eating moron”? No.
That is just how Osama bin Laden views him. The joke is on Osama bin Laden because he is so ignorant of the fact that George Bush isn’t running. Bush isn’t going to “lose this election”, he isn’t even running, but bin Laden is so ignorant and stupid of the fact, he sounds like a moron.
Likewise, there isn’t an implication that the Palin’s are incestous. That is ludicrous, and the stupidity of the charge is the entire point of the joke.
The joke wouldn’t work with Obama, because the press hasn’t been chasing ludicrous charges without evidence.
They have with Sarah Palin. That is why it is an effective piece of humor.
The sucker at the end of this punch is the New York Times. They have made so many outrageous claims, spread so many rumors, and shown themselves so out of touch with their charges against Palin, that they are the Osama bin Laden moron of the skit.
or Conan OBrians use of the baby with Downs for a joke...
Did this actually happen?...
Please tell me there were at least some boos and groans from the audience.

(Coo-coo, coo-coo)
The sun has gone
To bed and so must I
So long, farewell
Auf Weidersehen, goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
Goodbye
