Did you count Bloomberg as one of the eight Republicans?
Yes. And Ron Paul. Crazy, huh?
You do know ron paul has been right on this money mess.
read up.
Not really much of a lineup today, is it?
Poor Hank Paulson, he’s working for his pay today.
Paulson is dominating the talk shows this Sunday, good thing that the vote for the 700 Billion Dollar blank check will be soon right?
This will be the public debate on the measure, Paulson on Sunday shows.
I am fuming!
Once again the rats have laid the trap and we have fallen into it by giving rat lenders yet another pass.
Does Socialism loom on the horizon? Will our kids have insurmountable debt? The jury is out but coming back soon. ..............
John Boehner, can't wait to see him, he's the man!! Best we have behind Sarah.
...and leg irons.!!
Thanks again AB. I wonder if Dodd or Frank will be asked about contributions? Doubt it.
frank luntz was just on FNC
he was saying “the public wants guidance.”
Notice how he never says DEMOCRAT PARTY controlled washinton DC.
The MSM (fox included) NEVER seems to have the ability to say DEMOCRATS predominate in dc. Even in unelected politions, the democrat party members hold those jobs.
It is all about spin now.
tight race means high ratings.
they have to prop up the marxist.
Schumer, Frank and Dodd - oh boy. “Bush’s fault” “Bush’s fault” “Bush’s fault”
That's criminal.
Morning rodguy,
I see three culprits in the financial mess. Corporate, executive and congressional. Corporations are doing what they always do, anything to make their profits. The executive is hampered by too many people they cannot get rid of but still at fault for less than successful management of the agencies they head. And congress that refused to address these problems, and still don’t know what to do other than ask for more donations and pass favorable laws supporting those donors.
This is one main reason to support McCain/Palin. They may not be able to do more than prior executives in stopping the DC mentality, but at least they will try.
He had a guest on who is involved with the rally. He apologized for what occurred. Said they were forced into a position to revoke the invitation. Said that one of the group that was attending the rally sent a letter from their lawyer saying that their tax status could be affected if they allowed Sarah Palin to speak.
Lutz also said the key word is “accountability” and this is what everyone here on FR has been saying for years now.
we bought 80% of AIG at a severe low.
it was depressed in part by short selling which is now suspended.
rather than knee jerk perhaps we should be looking to see how we are going to make a profit.
THink RTC.
Just more of the finger pointing about the money markets. Nothing really to see, just a bunch a people trying to justify their jobs to the American People.
Just INHO we should get rid of the whole darned lot!
Naahhhh... they leave all the tough questions for us. We start the ball rolling and then Rush, Sean and Mark kick it out of the stadium tomorrow.
Anyone hear Mark's show Friday? It was truly revealing! He exposed everyone and linked the deal to the rats like no one it was a riveting expose.
Hard Jobs=New Media=always up to the task!
It’s a mess isn’t it? On Friday he mentioned all the bad real estate loans that brought this about- I’m hoping he NAILS the Fannie/Freddie disaster.
accountability is a very diluted word.
for democrats accountability is just code for government control and supervision.
for conservatives it is personal.
luntz has a credibility issue. He could not grasp Hillary is a socialist. I very much doubt he can comprehend obama is even MORE of a socialist.
We must let our constituents(those who don't qualify for standard home loans) to have the loans anyway.
So Dem/rats broke all the rules that bankers had used for years and sooner rather than later we have lots of people who bought homes they could ill afford that should not have been there to begin with, not paying their mortgages and defaulting.
Do we now give all of them a pass or let banks foreclose, giving passes just brings us one step closer to Socialism which is where we are headed.
Let's hope McCain and Sarah can turn this lipsticked pig around and head it back to the barn where it belongs.
I think it is time for FNF to try a brunette in the AM
the fungible blonds (attn rio linda: that word means interchangable) need to go.
They also need to lose the effete hair mouse men.
Any of the moderators from FR would be a good replacement...
Are you seriously contending that the above cited radio personalities base their shows on this thread?
FNC just ran a repeat of who’s to blame. It too fixes the date at 1999. That would be Clinton but it is also with a Republican congress.
Allowing the commercial banking industry to combine with the investment industry without solid oversight seems to be the underlying culprit in all this.
One more reason to oppose power and money in DC. We need government to keep the playing field level but they must be stopped from helping businesses, or choosing winners and losers.
When businesses do well and make money, shareholders benefit. When things go the other way shareholders lose., To change that equation and we are head in the wrong direction IMHO.
But as I said yesterday I am not an economist/financier nor do I play one on TV.
FR has been mentioned on occasion.
Keep in mind, FR is a drive by media blockade runner.
Now yo have done it! Spitting coffee all over key board!!
Back, back under the bridge, too early for you. Call me when your 30 years experience in broadcasting is complete.
Nine per cent Nan is STILL pimping for this. "We have to protect main street as well as wall street and make sure people can keep their homes..."
She's not the only one pushing more poison as the antidote but she's one of the "leaders".
Thank you! I needed this.
Morning folks! While there is a ton of blame to go round, I put more of it on the Community Redevelopmenmt Act thab the repeal of the Glass Steagel Act.
Had to be repeated.
Your brilliance is once again shining through. Govt. should be a "minor" regulator in business not a player.
what about the people born here?
seriously, the MSM is so busy trying to pump their ratings and rescue obama the marxist, that they are missing the “WHY”.
So busy repeating DNC talking points that they are missing the “WHAT”
What people want is a leader who speaks for them not AT them. Someone who is conservative as the majority of the nation. conservative is not locked in the past, conservative respects the past but builds a future.
The WHY is centered on why are conservatives united now behind McCain? McCain was persona non-grata to the base. Palin came in as a CONSERVATIVE and the core united IN 24HOURS! then people noticed the vp pick was a woman and asked, “but she is a conservative.”
The MSM is refusing to do their jobs under the first amendment. It is little wonder it is left to us amatures to do the job right and BETTER.
[that last sentence must realllly frost the “paid media personalities”]
Have you seen our moderators? They're good at what they do, word! But they're not photogenic enough for television!

< /joke about Admin Mods (so I don't get banned!) >
you should see shepard smith without his make up.
(foundation with a trowel...)
Are you sure you want to begin yet another of your periodic descents into masochism at my hands?
Avail yourself, I beseech you, of this opportunity to quit now after having lobbed only one of your unwarranted and characteristically dull-minded cheap shots, lest you compel me to mop the floor with you again (rhetorically speaking).
I like to go with the ronald reagan concept:
you can get a lot done if you don’t care who gets credit.
does it matter that bill clinton is the one who signed the 1996 immigration reform doing away with anchor babies? (not to be confused with birthright citizenship), the 1996 Defense of Marriage Amendment, or Welfare reform?
If we can, as unpaid volunteers, help then that is just a plus.
“A single snoflake can change the course of an avalanche”
(they build reallllly big snoflakes in alaska.... :-) )
I don’t know why C comes on FR. He just likes to cause problems, and be a smart-mouth. I will not bother to reply to him again
