In the past 2-3 weeks he’s stepped in it so many times, he’s probably going to need hip-waders!

Post 15 explains Obama’s role in killing the bill in Illinois. The same lady who pushed for it in Illinois where it failed, helped bring the bill to the US Senate where it passed with unanimous consent in 2002 (Obama was not around to block it).

I think the Great One has stepped in it big time. I think he makes a habit of stepping in it, often and frequently. And he never gets any credit for stepping in it except for places like Free Republic.

I happen to have met Gianna Jessen a couple of years ago at a fund raiser for our local CareNet. Her story is as miraculous as it is despicable. She is the survivor of a saline abortion. It caused all sorts of physical problems, but by the grace of God Gianna survived and is being used by God to bring the plight of abortion and it’s survivors to national attention. Attacking her is beneath contempt.

Thanks for posting both articles. They add a lot to discussing this.

I just saw this ad, watching the Georgia vs. Arizona State football game. It really pissed me off, especially the cynical part in which the ad says that 0bama has always protected the unborn (or something like that). I mean, the cynicism of this a-hole to do this. Truly despicable and I hope Palin and McCain call these clowns on this during the debates. This really needs to be exposed.

If a Democrat votes for a Republican for no other reason than that the Democrat candidate is black, that might suggest racism. I think a Republican should have the right to vote for a Republican without the accusation...especially when the Demcrat has never made any sense regarding any policy.

“Attacking her is beneath contempt.”

Exactly right. One poster said he hates women. Well, he certainly is making his career attacking women. HRC, Sarah, Gianna Jessen. Just what we need for a president [NOT], someone who verbally gets in the mud to defame a large part of the population.

...he should have been an Abortion doctor...

Just my opinion, but considering his judgement on other things, I don't think he's smart enough to get through med school.

I would have been tempted to tell the punk that he’d better be sure not to get his parents po’d at him or they might have him disappeared, and see how he likes that.

It is most ironic that the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act was acceptable to many U.S. Senators who make no exceptions in their total support of abortion, including our own Senator Richard Durbin, while equivalent legislation was killed in the Illinois House by Speaker Michael Madigan, who assigned the legislation to a hostile committee.

This would make a powerful political cartoon titled "Barack Obama's Illinois Sentate Legacy" with Madigan handing Obama a bundle wrapped in a blanket labeled Born Alive Infant Protection Act with the caption "Here kill this for me Senator."

“You don’t get to kill someone just because you don’t want them around.”

It REALLY is as simple as that.

Ouch, although not many would get the Madigan reference.

“Obama hates women.”

yes he does.
Especially Hillary and Palin.
They got under his skin.

I cannot imagine what his administration staff would look like.

who would not be with us today if Obama's policies had been in place when she was born."

neither would Obama, as his leftist mother would in all likelihood have followed his advice not to punish herself with a baby, had the "repressive" society of 1961 allowed abortion.

And he did vote four times in Illinois against care for newborns who survived abortion.

And used his subcommittee chairmanship to bottle up the bill and try to keep it from getting to a vote.
