Just kidding. Anyway, stopped by Metro Park to see what the Dems are up to, size of crowd. Long lines. Heard numbers of 14,000 - very possible, yet can't see into park.

In addition to cameras being banned, no cell phones are allowed being blared by volunteers on bullhorns. No lawn chairs either, nor food or drink. Hyper-controlling Dems for ya there.

Saw one guy holding an "Abortion is Black Genocide" sign and "Abraham Lincoln was a Republican". Gave him a nod and a thumbs up.

After a few minutes, I got naseuous and decided to return to base. All those "false" hope T-shirts made me want to throw up. How could such an "intelligent guy" be so dumb about the critical issues?

Another thought. Since THE ONE wants to ban cell phones and cameras, we need counter intellegence to smuggle in a transmitting microphone at all rallies for THE ONE. Someone at the other end could record it. We could make life fun for them by posting any "interesting" remarks.

BTW - OT I am hearing folks suggest we all talk up this plan to substitue Biden for Hillary as VP on Oct 5th... The more it is talked about - the less likely it is to happen - everyone will be onto them, and if the Beast has dreams of 2012, she will go as far away as she can from such an idea if it is being talked about by all in advance. No, definitely not critical of her at all. I just see she looks puffier than usual, and I don’t think it’s a flattering picture. I have some puffy-faced pictures of me, too, and I would die if I saw them on the internet.

I had to take some pictures of a group I volunteer with at my daughter’s school. I noticed that the daylight brought out some of one of the mom’s wrinkles more than was flattering, so I PhotoShopped just a little to tone them down. I did the same for our niece who is suffering from terrible acne right now.

Just got back from a meeting in St. Louis of my husband's old buddies from occupation of Trieste (Northern Italy next to old Yugoslavia. This group , many of whom married Italian women joined with the Triestini, a group of Trieste women married to GI's, so their husbands came from other military units from my husband's.

All the women are for McCain. They talked about the Fascist movement in prewar Italy. Your description of the Obama meeting reminded me of Mussolini meetings described by Elsa Spencer, who has written a book (Goodbye Trieste) describing life in Trieste before, during and after the war. The children all wore uniforms with a long tie with Il Duche (Mussolini) crests, and a snazzy black cape. They were indoctrinated with Fascism at school and attended meetings many Saturdays, by classes, accompanied by teachers. Organization was very strong; no food or drink; loudspeakers giving strict orders including when to cheer for Il Duce. Hours, sometimes all day standing, listening and yelling until hoarse.

Elsa thought Il Duce was grand and was gungho for his plan to resurrect the Roman Empire and lead Italy back to its glory days. Mussolini told them Hitler was their friend and would help them to their goals. Elsa's father was an Italian partisan and lost his life for the cause of Italy. She gradually came to see just what Fascism had led them to-military rule, torn and lost family, starvation.----Does any of this strike a chord? Organization of education (Obama, Ayers and the Woods Fund, the Chicago Annenbert Challenge.)

All these women have lived under totalarianism and they recognize it when they see it coming. They had nothing good to say about Obama and are for McCain.

The organization of Obama's campaign has been commented on. It is extremely organized from top down and (except for its leader when without his teleprompter) is very much on message, even when countered by truth.

Come to think of it, the 'no cell phone and no camera' rule would be an ergonomic nightmare. And, since this is presumably being held in a public park, I'm not sure that there's any constitutional right for obambi to require such a restriction.

I'd love it if the Jacksonville police put the hammer down on that requirement. I'm certain that there will be some cell phones and cameras at the event, despite the best efforts of the obambi team to prevent such.

I wish I were there - I'd perch myself up high, just outside of the restricted area with 1120 mm of lens on a big honkin tripod and take pictures of the empty suit just to spite him.
