A new poll shows that Republican John McCain might win South Carolina as handily as George W. Bush did four and eight years ago.

McCain had a 59 percent to 37 percent lead in this state over Democratic rival Barack Obama, according to a recent American Research Group poll. Four percent remained undecided.

didn't see it posted. Similar results to 2004 and 2000 in terms of numbers.

Being from New England, and ready to blame New Englanders for a lot of things, I gotta call BS on that.

You grow those libs--they're yours, don't try to blame us. ;)

This should not be surprising. If we are worried about South Carolina than we have huge issues....I know we don’t.

"they moved out here from the eastern hell they call New England"

Most of them were imported from the South and I don't mean Dixie.

No surprise here. SC is another state where the bitter people cling to their guns and Bibles.

not surprising just that it looks like it may be a similar blowout like 2004 and 2000. Hopefully that bodes well for other battleground states.

I think there are fifteen states currently, where McCain will win by a 15 point margin...and he is still building up that margin. The south is a total loss for Obama.

Here in Upstate SC there is a very popular conservative talk radio host who has repeatedly declared his inability to vote for McCain due to specific issue differences.

As someone who has strongly disagreed with McCain's positions in the past, I can almost see his point - but then I look at the alternative to a McCain/Palin victory.

I have often wondered if this radio personality's position would change if SC were not such a “safe” McCain state where a vote for anyone other than McCain could have obamanable consequences.

In SC, my guess is even John Spratt wouldnt vote for Usama Hussein Obama. He does have the Afro and eggheaders, and Oprah, going for him.

I’m with you. Kaliphonya doesn’t get ALL of their liberals from New England, they import most of them from Mexico.

Do we have to say it? California is awash in illegals, and anyone who denies that this is going to lead to gigantic problems in the near future—I’m talking succession—is in denial. And it’s not about race, it’s about national identity. It’s one of the most insidious attempts at conquest—or “reconquest”—ever, and people are ignoring it because we’re afraid to be called racists for pointing out what Mexico is doing (the government actively aids illegal immigration). No surprise that the Obama campaign relies on this “Don’t criticize or we’ll call you a racist” tack.

Wait until the O supporters get in your face as ordered by Obama. You are going to be intimidated into voting for the muslim.
