A Muslim terrorist leader based in Lebanon has threatened to send suicide bombers to kill former Beatle and international music icon Paul McCartney when he performs in Israel later this month.
McCartney will perform in Tel Aviv as part of ongoing celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of Israel's modern rebirth.
In remarks carried by British tabloid Sunday Express, Sheikh Omar Bakri said that makes McCartney the enemy of all Muslims.
Bakri, a Syrian national who once resided in London, warned McCartney that if he will be targeted if he comes to Israel.
"Paul McCartney is the enemy of every Muslim. We have what we call 'sacrifice' operatives who will not stand by while he joins in a celebration of [Israeli] oppression. If he values his life Mr. McCartney must not come to Israel. He will not be safe there. The sacrifice operatives will be waiting for him."
McCartney was reportedly shocked by the threat, but defiantly refused to cancel his Tel Aviv appearance. McCartney said that several anti-Israel political groups had also asked him to not visit the Jewish state.

Well, the name “Paul” existed LOONG before the Beatles, so you have plausible deniability, unless of course, your kid’s first name is “McCartney,” then I can’t help you. :)

Have to wonder if there are several teams/plots coordinated such that even if one or more cells operating independently of contact with the others is captured/killed, they might still have more plots.
“Sacrifice” can mean having multiple teams with the full expectation that they will get caught and tie up the authorities, like a “sacrifice” in baseball they may serve as a distraction to those on defense.
I was thinking the same thing. Altho surely, as member in good standing of liberalness, he will blame Bush for this.
