Time for Anger Management Therapy [Angry Al Franken]
powerlineblog ^

Posted on 09/12/2008 8:09:58 PM PDT by flyfree

Norm Coleman's campaign has produced a new ad, "Angry Al." It highlights Al Franken's frequently hotheaded, profane and inappropriate conduct:

I think they got the still image near the end from this site. It was taken at the 2004 RNC. I also witnessed the confrontation between Franken and Michael Medved at the same convention that you see, briefly, in the ad. Franken can be a scary guy. When the news broke about the pornography--no, wait, "satire of pornography"--that Franken wrote for one of the men's magazines, his campaign manager said, "We think the voters understand the difference between a comedian and a U.S. Senator." I think that difference is becoming ever clearer to Minnesotans.

SCOTT adds: It's a funny kind of attack ad. The only person speaking in it (beside Coleman in the ad's mandatory disclosure) is Al Franken himself.

They should also mention how nice guy Al was a principal in “Air Amerika” which embezzled $$ from children’s charities. It’a a matter of public record.

Franken’s campaign manager has it exactly right. People DO know the difference between a comedian and a US Senator. Norm Coleman is a US Senator and Al Franken is nothing but and will never be anything more than a second-rate comedian.

Weird Al is going to loose on the same scale as obama. Savage has said liberalism is a mental illness, I never really accepted that until this election cycle. Libs just don’t get it, they don’t get who most of America is they just refuse to accept what most of America is all about. It really is a sickness.

I thought 2000 was bad as far as their nuttiness was concerned and then came 2004, but this year, THIS YEAR, is the Mother of all Nuttiness years!

I am actually concerned that one of them may make an attempt on McCain/Palin!

This is a great ad.

I feel that ads like these that simply show clips of the candidate in their own words are the most effective. Al Franken certainly is a filthy, slimy little toad of the 1st degree (no offense intended to filthy, slimy toads).

It seems like in the last 7 years that the Libs have gone so far over the edge that they rarely make any sense to anyone except themselves. Their main arguments, if you can even call them that - rants or temper tantrums is closer, are always profanity filled and bizarre. I've noticed for awhile that a lot of Libs are always on psych meds, usually more than one prescription, so Savage is spot on about the mental illness thing; they really are mentally ill.

Now what does it say about the condition of the Democrat party, that this was their choice, the best candidate they could put forward, already knowing all this **** about Weird Al Franken. Pathetic.

As for Al Frankenstein...he strikes me as an angry alcoholic, aka nasty drunk.

“I am donating to Coleman tomorrow.”

We all should.

Franken is a disgrace as a human being, and certainly does not deserve to be anywhere near the senate.

Franken isn't "Minnesota nice".

What with such jerks as Franken, and that other insufferable doofus G. Keillor, I believe that the term should be re-worked to read "Minnesota Nasty"...
