For the first time in this election, Mccain has taken the lead on Intrade~~~~~~!!!!!!
This is a positive development.
well, its not actually the first time... the first time was a day or two ago right when the first polls were out showing McCain in the lead, but there has been some swapping leads on intrade going on so it looked that way.
That’s a shocking turnaround. It wasn’t long ago they had Hillary! blowing everyone else away.
Intrade is a bit slow. McCain has been the favorite for a week now.
I don’t put too much trust on Intratrade for two reasons: (1) the US bans internet credit-card gambling, and the site is located in Europe. It means there are many non-Americans play the game. (2) There are many rich liberals that can easily throw a lot of money to affect the output.
It applies both when Obama was up as well as now when McCain is up.
Agreed.
Yeah, it has been back and forth for the last 48 hours. However, he was down 65% to 35% not too long ago. Markets thin, one person can move the market(s) etc., but take at look at the forums. Infested with lefties and a few stalwart conservatives. Sure, some who trade don’t even us the forums, but with what seems to be the overwhelming leftie presence McCain’s numbers are quite good and do imperfectly reflect what is taking place.
It is encouraging to see McCain moving into a lead. News like this helps lower the enemy's morale in the heat of the battle.
The lower their morale, the less new volunteers they get, the less big donations they receive, and the more mistakes Obambi makes on the campaign trail.
I was tempted to place a bet when Obama was still ahead, but then I remembered that part of the oath I have to take as a special appointee of the county election board includes a section on “not having any financial interest in the outcome of the election.” LOL
follow the money
I should clarify that I was going to bet on McCain when Obama was still ahead in the odds!
Special to Free Republic ONLY. There’s free money on the table. Get it while you still can.
Trying to Quantify Liberal Bias at Intrade

Very true. Soros has a lot of money.
It is pathetic that so many voters can be swayed by TV commercials, yard signs, bumper stickers, and polls.
If that wasn't the case, campaigns wouldn't spend so much money on such things.
