Interesting gaffe. I think personally that it is serious. What does attacking John McCain's age have to do with anything?

McCain will not allow his opponent’s youth and inexperience be a factor in this election.
To: Maelstorm
Heck the RNC doesn’t need any more money. The Dems are the best RNC campaigners there are.

My father worked until the day he died, at age 84, even though he didn’t have to. Towards his later years he began writing books on aviation that were quite successful and was on a rewrite when he passed. (Sorry, he’s my daddy and I have to brag. I miss him A LOT.)

What does attacking John McCain's age have to do with anything? It's one of the Dems talking points. Jay Leno also does it every night. Letterman probably does it also however I never watch him.
To: Maelstorm
While rude, what exactly is the rub? It’s neither racist nor sexist. Just rude. McCain is, in fact, 72 years old, isn’t he? I think complaining about this makes us look like snivelers. We won the sexist pig argument. Osama looks like the loser he is. He lost an entire day denying his obvious intent and we gained more women voters, and probably some men who realized just how weak Zero really is. Let’s not go over the top and lose our credibility. We’re 100% right now.

I like how Shep got the final blow. First, he started looking upwards - like he was looking for a bird or something. Then as they were cutting away, Shep says “Yeah, lipstick and pigs.” Classic. Way to go Shep.

It’s politics. McCain can quickly, “not join his opponent in making age an issue in this campaign. He will not fault his opponent’s youth and lack of experience during the debates” a la Reagan.
