Attacks on Palin No Joke

Kirsten Powers does a good job ticking off how the various bungled attacks on Sarah Palin by the left have only energized Republicans and hurt Barack Obama.

This latest attempt by Juan Cole, using a cutesy play on Palin's "hockey mom" joke from her convention speech to equate her to a Muslim fundamentalist, is more of the same:

While the Obama campaign spent a great deal of effort yesterday trying to knock down Palin's credentials as a reformer over her position on the Bridge to Nowhere, his supporters in the media like Keith Olbermann were busy openly mocking her former pastor and her religious views trying to frame her as a Bible thumping zealot.

This is, politically speaking, a Road to Nowhere in that it will only invite a reevaluation of the twenty years Obama spent in the pews of his church listening to Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

I say that I must give the liberal Kirsten Powers good credit for staying fair in her comments concerning Gov Palin.

The Dims and associates remind of a dog that has hold of its tail and won’t let go. Round and around it goes to the amusement of all until it falls in a heap. Too funny, don’t stop now!!!

Anyone who has a brain in his/her head has wised up to the Socialist-Democrat party and anti-American media by now.

Unfortunately many with a full high school or college education have not been taught to think for themselves, so it’s up to those who do think for themselves to convince them of the above statement.

To simplify, “Socialism is Suicide” - it hasn’t worked anywhere and preserved freedom, and never will, for when government serves itself, rather than the people, the people will serve the government. And that is slavery!

Not a joke, but the next time someone brings up McCain’s age, it might be a good idea to point out that there is only 3 year’s difference between the two tickets.

Obama - 47, Biden 66 = 113

McCain 72, Palin 44 = 116

Looks like age isn’t much of an issue.

As an aside, a female Hillary supporter that I know, had decided not to vote for Obama, but, had planned to vote for McCain, but, won’t vote for Palin and so, now plans to not vote at all.

I think that’s a good idea. Keep Obama on the defensive. Wright is one of the worst things in Obama’s past.

HERE'S HOW TO WIN HER OVER: Tell her that WOMEN received suffrage after the slaves were freed; technically, male African-Americans had the right to vote DECADES before women ever got it. Why, then, shouldn't women at least get to the Vice-Presidency first? Why must they always be LAST?

(I.e., play a little reverse psychology on her. She sounds like the type that will fall for it.)

That won’t work. I did however, point out to her that Hillary isn’t attacking Palin, because Hillary wants Obama to lose, so that she can run in 2012. I’m hoping I planted a seed.

I thought Reagan's answer was better.
