A bright young student recently asked me this question in defense of her Messiah, Barack Hussein Obama...“Mr. Williams, my family name is Irish. Does that make me a terrorist member of the IRA?”
After pointing out that she had made no effort to hide her ancestry, I answered, “No, but it does make you Irish.” Just because most Americans have never seen his name printed in native Arabic characters, باراك حسين اوباما – does not mean that he is not Arab. In fact, his Arab name is at the very least, a strong indication that he may be of Arab descent.
Though Obama has built his campaign upon being the first “black” candidate (entirely ignoring the white half of his family tree as if it doesn’t even exist), the questions over whether or not he is African or Arab, Christian or Muslim, seems to have a very simple answer...Yes - all the above!

That “bright young student” is typical of young Obama supporters. She probably has never had to pay taxes or balance a family checkbook. She can afford to support Obama (although in four years she probably won’t). I can’t...

Obama was not at all honest in that BOR interview, so he is hiding, so what is he really hiding?

The parallel attacks on Palin, i.e., religous background, experience, etc., are making people take a second look at the Chosen One, and what they see is not pretty, and it’s making the Obama camp nervous.
Most Americans do not know that Obama’s middle name is Hussein. I think many people would get a wake-up call upon hearing that bit of news. In and of itself a man’s middle name does not mean anything, but in this case it seems to say a whole lot. Gotta get the word out.
Members of the press were able to find Alaska, but couldn’t find Chicago on a map... That’s got to be it.

It might be more that the cowardly sycophantic press know they could end up dead for digging around in Chicago politics and politicians, but the good folks in Alaska will just laugh at them and walk on by, shaking their head knowingly.
Other background information that seems to have faded into the woodwork. According to an independent journalist, Kenneth Lamb, who investigated Obama’s family background, the entire family is Arabic Muslim, and Barack’s original ancestors were slave traders who moved into Kenya after helping the British against the Mahdi.
Lamb investigated the Kenya background for a NYC newspaper, which then declined to print the results. He has sometimes been published in the NY Times, which (speculatively) may have been the newspaper in question (my guess).
Some of these Arabs intermarried with blacks—who also were Muslims, or had black concubines, so the racial mixture is presumably part Arab and part black.
This investigator estimated that Obama’s father was 1/8 black, which would make Obama 1/2 white, 7/16 arab, and 1/16 black.

It’s a bit confusing, because he starts out with some letters to a Washington Post reporter who had also raised some questions.
But it’s worth a full read. And as far as I know, it has never been satisfactorily answered.

Basically, the upshot is that, to be legally “African American” or “Black” in the US requires you to be at least 1/8 black. But Obama is probably no more than 1/16 black.
Why are the press so incurious about Obama’s Kenyan background, or his political relations with his Muslim terrorist, church-burning Kenyan cousin, Odinga?

Months ago I read that BHO’s ancestry was ONLY 1/16 black. It may have been in a Lamb article.
Race is no longer defined by "genealogical or anthropological" characteristics as illustrated in my article. Race is now a matter of "sociopolitical self-identification." The Bureau now allows an individual to classify him- or her- self by as many, and whatever, "sociopolitical self-identification" classification(s) appeals to the individual. You can be African-American today, change your mind and be Native-American tomorrow, add Asian the day following, and toss them all out the next day and classify yourself whatever you please the day after that. So as it stands now with this change in the law, Sen. Obama is legally anything he wants to be. Any of us are; more on that in a moment.....
IMHO,These inquiries into the Obama bloodline are a dead end; a waste of time and energy. Even his murky citizenship issue is apparently going nowhere. Where this outrageous charlatan has to be nailed first, is on his connection to Ayers and Dohrn, and his wife's connection to Ayers and Dohrn. Furthermore, it must be spelled out that the campaign of the Democrats derives from the Alinsky play-book, as interpreted by Bill Ayers. Of course these ideas resonate around here, but how does one sell it in the Wal-Mart parking lot?
This is, BTW, the first time I have ever heard a presidential candidate openly attacking the opposition's Vice-Presidential candidate. It must be meant to keep the Biden-Clymer out of the spotlight, stumbling and mumbling; threatening to arrest Bush and Cheney, when he and The Anointed One assume power, etc. ad nauseam.

I don’t know why it’s “not relevant.” Obama needs to be attacked on many fronts, including both his Communist connections and his Muslim connections. Especially since he has lied about both, and covered up both.
Where’s his birth certificate?
Does he deny that he was, and probably still is, an Indonesian citizen? Does he deny that his mother gave up his American citizenship when he was adopted as Barry Soetoro, an Indonesian Muslim? Does he have any evidence that he or his mother or his grandparents ever went through the paperwork to restore his American citizenship?
These are all legitimate questions, which bear on his eligibility to run as president.
Less than a year ago, black Americans were scoffing at him, because he had never shared their experience of urban black America. Would blacks still support him if they knew he was lying about being more than 1/16 black?
Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, & Co. would just LOVE an opportunity to dump Obama and get him out of their way. He is interfering with their livelihoods. But they can’t do it as long as he is out there posing as an African American hero.
I lived in Hype Park years ago - it’s there with the University of Chicago. The press can handle a University setting.
Oh, I agree. But I don't see anyone in the campaign asking them. In the campaign context, the questions are too complicated and susceptible to tricky answers. We can ask them ... but Obama certainly isn't obliged to answer the likes of us... and in fact, might turn the questions to his advantage on racial grounds.
For example, in his statement to the Illinois Bar, he said he had never used another name. An outright lie, Mr. Barry Soetoro ...but what the Hell are we going to do about it?
Furthermore, all this backing and forthing about who's black and who's an Arab, who's half white, "1/16th black" and who's grandfather shot Cock Robin, could very easily be construed by those with an interest to do so, as racist.
I think that a campaign strategy of picking the "low-hanging fruit," first i.e., his connections to Ayers, about which he has lied,his wife's connections to Dohrn, about which there as been an ominous silence. See if that can be understood, and then, if there's time in a debate, McCain should simply ask BOH

Perhaps the Clintons (who most assuredly have the real real scoop on The Anointed One) want(ed) to see Obama elected and then impeached on the ineligibilty issues, which I agree are real. Then, Joe Biden (AKA That Clymer from Delaware) would name Hillary Vice President and then resign. A scenario that, please Jesus, could never happen now that McCain has awakened!
