Obama’s ‘My Muslim Faith’ Gaffe Fuels New Round of Rumor-Busting

Barack Obama’s campaign brushed off suggestions Monday that a verbal gaffe the Democratic candidate made during a weekend television interview is anything more than just that.

In an interview Sunday with ABC’s “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos, Obama tried to suggest that FOX News and others “closely allied” to Republicans are promulgating the notion that the Illinois senator is Muslim.

Asked about whether McCain himself has done anything to suggest he’s Muslim, Obama said, “Let’s not play games. What I was suggesting — you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you’re absolutely right that that has not come…”

“Christian faith,” Stephanopoulos interrupted, correcting Obama.

I can PEOVE that Obama is NOT a "Christian of deep faith" by using Obama's own income tax returns.

Observe that for the years 2000 thru 2004, the Obamas' income was well over $1,000,000 yet his charitable contributions were less than $11,000 for the entire 5 year period. What does this mean? This means that Obama's "deep Christian faith" is a sham because he does not tithe as God has commanded. Not only does he not tithe, he doesn't even come close!

This has been the position of the "progressive" (now, liberal/leftwing) movement for a hundred years. It is the reason the field of "social work" was invented as a discipline by Columbia: to insure that the poor got everything they could from the government. And they actaully discouraged private charity--it "allowed the government to get off the hook."

After thinking about this for a while, I think his “gaffe” is deliberate and is meant to appeal to our enemies overseas. It is no secret that his donations have decreased (he is bleeding money) and his chief source of donations came through anonymous internet donations from overseas (This is a loophole that needs to die a quick death, Congress).

By identifying himself as a Muslim, he is winking to our enemies overseas and giving them hope. It was a fund-raising ploy.
