Although I have ranted in the past about the undesirable growth of "chat-like" one-liner posts on FR I just can resist commenting on this latest CNN anti-Palin thrust as follows:

It's another loser.

So, what religion was John Ashcroft, another “media darling?” Assemblies of God. In my aunt’s Sunday School class, as a matter of fact.

Most of my family is AG (Mom grew up AG and she has 11 siblings). Those folks are some of the best people on the planet. They’re not prudes; they’re hard-working, caring people who do a lot of work for charity and the community. They’re a lot of fun, too.

The smug Liberal elites don’t really faze them. They’ve got something going for them those people do not: Real faith.

They just don’t get it. I guess the thought of judgement and redemption scares them to death.

Well, it’s supposed to.

Now her church? Of course, that mealy mouth Alan Combs just did the hit on her church on H&C. So that is their latest talking paper attack plan. But again they are so vulnerable. I truly doubt, in fact I'd bet, that her pastor never said GD America, never preached hated, the big accusation is he asked his congregation to pray for people, isn't that just terrible? TO PRAY FOR PEOPLE, how will we ever survive this, a woman who attended a church where the pastor requested prayer. It must be tough to be a liberal today, but then it has been ever since Sarah was nominated.

What’s wrong with believing in the Rapture and praying for sinners? We’re all human and therefore, terribly flawed. Why and the hell don’t liberals get THAT!

The MSM has gotten so arrogant and completely devoid of anything approching subtlety in their attacks that they are making this into a stroll through the park for McCain and Palin. They act like rabid dogs at a cat show.

I actually thought they were smarter than this.
But apparently not.

Managed to watch the whole thing. OMG, this woman, Sarah, has the AUDACITY to pray for wisdom and that she might do His will in her role as a leader!
Be afraid, be very afraid!!!
Man, they made it sound like she could very well head up a future Jonestown.

They are getting just plain silly now.
But it was a great learning moment for my daughter-that of how media does character assassination.

I might be just an ignorant, Bible clinger but I seem to recall that asking for wisdom from the Almighty was a GOOD thing...assuming you believe in God, that is.

CNN’s reporting is trying to help Obama-Biden win over Jewish voters (with this slant). That is to say, that this church is even worse that Obama’s respect for “Minister” Farrakhan and his two decades-long association with an anti-Semitic kook, Jeremiah Wright.

And?
So far, I don’t see anything that is out of the norm of any church in America.
Got any more specifics?

Do they walk on hot coals, circumcise little girls, wear burkas or crash planes into buildings?

This pastor tells his congregation to boycott CNN and the rest of the MSM:

No big deal. Here's the truth. McCain?palin wins that fight. McCain?palin wins the experience fight. McCain/Palin wins the Bridge to Nowhere/earmarks fight. McCain/Palin wins the maverick fight. McCain/Palin destroys Obama/Biden in the CIC fight. McCain/Palin draws with Obama/Biden on the economy.

Oh yeah, Obama/Biden wins their fight with Bush/Cheney. Small consolation eh?

Note how Brown doesn't let Buchanan respond about the Bridge to Nowhere. Click on the text below to see the transcript:

TOOBIN: I think Bay is generally right, although the specific matter here is so clear, the fact that she has embraced this idea of being an opponent of the bridge to nowhere, when she clearly wasn't, I think that is worth making an exception to the very good rule Bay described, because it's so clear that she's not telling the truth.
MARTIN: And the tie-in is, John McCain has followed along with her on that. He has been repeating the very same line. And, so, when you call her credibility into question, you are calling John McCain's credibility into question.
BROWN: All right, hold it there, guys. We have got a lot more to talk about tonight.
We have got a must-see CNN exclusive. Governor Palin's pastors, past and present, talk about her faith, how it affects her political decisions, and her world view -- when we come back.
This is ELECTION CENTER.
