Until Alaska decides cut it's self in half and Texas becomes the THIRD largest state.

Then we'll have two dozen cities larger than either state.

No. Sarah Palin is not resented for what she has done, but for who she is

Why are they afraid to say anything against Islamic terrorist who kill and.... yet they find Sarah someone we should a be afraid of?

A $64,000 question, if I ever heard one.

The MSM has spent more time and energy trying to destroy Sarah Palin in just ten days, than they have in destroying Bin Laden in SEVEN YEARS!

But then, on the other hand, they agree with Bin Laden, don't they?

Palin represents a clear and present danger to the core of liberalism itself that goes beyond any political campaign.

I've made the same point, and it's pretty clear to most people (right and left) that this is the central fear of the left.

Sarah Palin committed the unforgivable sin of unmasking the liberal left for what it truly is with over 40 million people watching.

It was truly the "shot heard round the world" for modern times, and the left is bleeding from that near fatal wound. As they stagger, dazed and confused from the trauma, they are lashing out in a psychotic fit of anger at the perpetrator...our Sarah.

All of the above, plus the fact that the media were fooled..surprised!! This has led to total rage.

The attack would have been severe on any VP nominee, but how dare Jonh McCain do such a thing!!!!

(insert crying baby picture here)

What Justifies The Firestorm On Palin Pick?

She makes Obama look like some guy living in a van down by the river.

What Justifies The Firestorm On Palin Pick?

The fact that she dismissed the MSM out of hand in the Twin Cities. The press will not be treated as such and for that she must pay!

Certainly not a justification, but it is a reason.

They fear her because she is a true conservative, she reveals conservatism to be pleasant, cheery, and non-threatening, and because she is going to be President of the US for 8 or more years.

I agree with everyone that the Dims hate all the things that Sarah stands for. But there is much more, I believe.
The introduction of Palin into the mix threatens the Dim’s
narrative of the ‘08 election. They expected to make his-
tory with the Obama/Biden ticket trouncing McCain and
some other boring white dude. They must have had all their
talking points prepared for any of the Republican VP
possibilities except for Palin and other perceived long-
shots. Now, the Rats are not the only party that will
make history with a victory in November and because
they absolutely hate that idea they immediately
started acting-out like the emotionally disturbed chil-
dren that they are.

Personally, I didn't think that McC was going to select
Mitt, Huck, or Rudy or any of his primary opponents. I
came to this conclusion after watching McCain's ad re-
sponse to Obama’s selection of Biden. They played up
attacks Biden made against BO’s experience during the
primary. It seemed to me that McCain wouldn't be doing
those kinds of ads if he were about to chose one of
his own primary opponents to fill his ticket.

and because she is going to be President of the US for 8 or more years.

That's what's really killing them! They assumed that they had a lock on the 'historic Presidency' be that the first Black President, or the first Woman President, because THEY are the ones who are progressive. Those evil radical Right Wing Republicans have no right to take that from them!

so let's not throw out an ambiguous "size" when on hand we have a dozen cities larger than Alaska.

Uh, soon to be Mexico's cities.

Yes, it's the narrative. It's like there's a big story here, a multicultural, multiracial, raised by a single woman, harvard educated, senate elected, black community organizer who makes it to president. What a great story!!!!

But wait, there's this small town girl, married to the same man, rural existence, pta joining former beauty queen and high-school athlete, elected mayor and then governor on the way to the presidency.... Hey! We already have a great story! What the heck is going on here? She's ruining our story!!! KILL HER!!!!

I realize Sarah is a Christian; but why do you call her an evangelical Christian?

If you wanted proof that Sarah Palin is a transformative figure, look no further: She has made it possible for Pat Buchanan to get an article on Free Republic without him being totally smeared by the majority of posters on the thread.

Campbell Brown is, in my opinion, the slimiest TV reporter when it comes to the constant hits on Palin. Unlike Olbermann and others, Campbell Brown is at least supposed to feign objectivity; but she is overwhelmed by her hatred of women who don’t get abortions.
