The media is trying to break up this alliance between McCain and the right-wing.

That is what they are terrified of because the right united with the GOP is what beat Gore and Kerry.

She should go to one of those alleged churches that promotes behavior that leads to AIDS. That would just tickle your average AP reporter to death, if you’ll pardon the expression.

Push her so far to the right that she can’t capture the middle.

There is no middle. Most Americans agree with Governor Palin's views.

The MSM better be careful. It is about to let the Rev. Wright genie back out of the bottle.

the pastor’s sermon today was reported to have asked his church members to also pray for the media.

I guess the perception is that they are both the same—unable to help themselves without God’s intervention

I'm starting to think this more and more... The Middle is a Myth! (Or... the only people who are considered the "middle" are the ones who are apathetic and could care less one way or another what happens in their small town, state, country, planet. And those who are like this probably don't pay attention to the news of any kind, and are more focused on distractions like entertainment or their own personal hobbies and interests.)

Maybe the AP should look into money given to a place Obama’s wife worked... “Rezco” lite?

Always “interesting” how this sort of sincere religious activity is so controversial to the left but forcing gay sex ed upon teenagers (or younger) is simply considered “educational” and non-controversial by the very same people.

Good point.

"The MSM better be careful. It is about to let the Rev. Wright genie back out of the bottle."

So true!!

Love the pastor's statement that no one should criticize Rev. Wright without reading all that he said..... I'm not sure if that was just a simple statement of respect for a fellow minister, but it struck me as more of a subtle way of actually encouraging a lot more people (especially reporters present) to actually go back and read the relevant sermons of Rev. Wright. That's just fine with me!!

No explanation of this is going to convince a die-hard Obama voter that this church's programs are OK. No explanation is needed for anyone already inclined to vote McCain-Palin. What this is, is an attempt to sway the mushy middle by showing Gov. Palin's membership in an 'intolerant' church, and by extension, to show that she would impose that intolerance on American society.

The simple answer here is: For those who are questioning their sexual orientation, and who want to 'choose' the heterosexual side, this program is offered voluntarily. You gotta make the last-minute swing voters (who really don't care a fig about ideology) comfortable when they go into the voting booth.

So Governor Palin's Pastor wants to pray for homosexuals.
wow, thats a not a big news story.
Here's it what the AP should be reporting:

Barack Hussein Obama's Pastor of 20 years believes this:
“Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run!…We [in the U.S.] believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.”- Jeremiah Wright
“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God damn America, that’s in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.” - Jeremiah Wright
“The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for over 40 years now. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community and wake up Americans concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism.” - Jeremiah Wright

I guess to the AP having a faith system that wants to protect the LIFE of the unborn baby is the radical one.

and blacks and hispanics are also very very social conservative. Not pro-gay at all. I don’t they’ll appreciate an attack on their values.
