Speculation is that that Baldwin and Barr are stepping aside so that Paul can become the nominee of both the Constitution and Libertarian Parties The Montana Constitution Party has removed Chuck Baldwin from the ballot and is putting the ticket of Ron Paul for President and Michael Peroutka on the ballot for Vice-President.

This could really be significant in a close race. If McCain pulls ahead, its not likely to be by enough that he can afford a united 3rd party challenge.

This embarrasses me that I used to support Paul. If he knew what was really good for the country, he would step aside since the prospect of a Obama presidency would ruin this country.

Paul’s following is the anti-war crowd.
He hurts Obama worse than McCain/Palin.

It also shows Paul as a liar since he said awhile back he wouldn’t run as a third party candidate.
On the other hand, there may be those that supported the other two but won’t support Paul.

Ron Paul doesn’t give a crap about this country. He only cares about himself. It’s all about Ron Paul. This election is going to be very close due to all the voter fraud currently being setup by the Kollege Kiddie Krusaders. Every vote McCain/Palin doesn’t get will hurt them. Paul is going to wake up on the morning of the 5th of November and listen to the goons in the MSM singing the praises of their boy, President Obama.

I used to be a Ron Paul supporter, but never agreed with his Iraq War stance, part of the reason for that support was due to Paul’s pledge not to go third party.
If he lied about that, then it’s over for Ron Paul.

How would that work if somebody was the candidate for two parties? Do they just combine the vote totals from each party? Or do the parties merge and present one name on the ticket? Talk about the butterfly ballot being confusing, imagine those poor old folks when they see the same guy’s name twice on the same ballot, LOL!

Ron Paul is a crazy old man. Nothin’ wrong with that, but he has no place on the ballot or meddling with the future of this great nation. Anyone who would vote for Paul and throw away a vote and therefore give it to Obama to “prove a point” does not love our country. Those individuals would be more accurately described as Obama-enablers.

They are trying to meet the magic number so that they qualify for matching government funds in four years. If they get the 8% of the total electorate then I’d bet 3/4 of it comes from the lunatic left.

I disagree. I think you underestimate the libertarian wing in the GOP.
Then again, in the words of that great poet and philosopher William Joel:
You may be wrong,
But for all I know,
You may be right
This libertarian leaning conservative is firmly in McCain’s corner after his nomination of Sarah Palin. Now, if he hadn’t nominated her, it would have been a different story for a lot of us.

Mark my words, McCain-Palin will win in a landslide. Obama won’t win more than 10 states.
It won’t be close enough for a third party to make a difference.

I’d hoped McCain/Palin wins, and Paul formed a new guerilla wing of the Republican Party, one that is Ultra Conservative and would have enough credibility to challenge some of the DC shenanigans.
