Apparently, these were merely "props". "Props" that had served their purpose and were now to be discarded along with the styrofoam Greek columns.
AMERICAN flags discarded like so much used Kleenex...
That tells me that deep down, these people know that the way they are behaving is wrong and that most Americans don't feel as they do - why else would they feel the need to pretend they are something that they are not (patriotic)?
LOL!!!! McCain/Palin slapping around Obambi like a Piñata!
if you want a good laugh, the DU is saying now the RNC STOLE the flags (which were put away for future use)..

McCain, sell those flags to us at $50 each.
:
THE HELL I WON'T!!!!!!
Wish Fox would turn their camera around and show the thousands of people outside the hanger there in Colorado Springs ... EACH ONE HOLDING ONE OF THOSE RESCUED AMERICN FLAGS ... that the demRATS threw away!
Sarah live on Fox at 2:30 pm, Sat
By the way - when I opened our local county GOP office door on Thursday, after Sarah spoke, I had 10 new volunteers waiting in line. All day was packed with new volunteers. Sarah rocks.
Thanks.
This is a big story. Very Very big!
Wrote to the Denver Post. Hopefully they’ll play this up.
Just outrageous.
Drudge has a link but it doesn’t appear to work.
heard about this.
Very bad PR for Barry of Nazereth.
“Unbelievable disrespect of our stars and stripes by the DNC and the One”.
...more like just another day by the DNC and the One. I really don’t see the harm in Sarah or McCain saying...”the flags you are holding were saved by Republican volunteers from the DNC garbage”. “That’s their idea of Country First”. “Which Country is my question”!
PRICELESS!!!!!!!
Link to the Fox Story.
Left a comment demanding they pursue the details.

Fox is talking about this every five minutes. This probably seemed like such a small thing to the dems, but respect for the flag resonates with Americans, and particularly us bitter clingers.
I hope someone took some pics so they can lay them out in October. (Play the “American flags in the trash” card)
Ha ha ha ha ha. The dems are saying they were saving those flags for redistibution and repubs stole them.
wwwwwwooooooooohhhhhhhhooooooo some spin!
ping
I wonder how the Republicans got the flags? The Pepsi Center is owned by a Republican, so he might have given the ones found there to the Republicans. Maybe the Republicans just went dumpster diving.
I turned on Fox and they mentioned they would be covering the ‘flag flap’ later in the show. Guess we will learn more later.
I remember seeing large clear bags of trash after Obama’s speech which included many American flags. Did anyone else notice this?

Actually the Obama Campaign has said they were looking for those flags
And had them bagged for future rallys. Somehow they ended up at a republican rally.

This is my favorite story of the day. I saw the shot of the discarded American flags and my heart sunk. That they were saved by Republicans is all anyone needs to know about the two parties.

Could the liberals be anymore predictable? They want to trash everything we love and cling to, then spin it against us.
Great symbolism.
Throughout our history, rescuing our flag has been the duty of countless of patriots. Rescuing our flag is what this election is all about. There are those that trash, disrespect and would toss our very country into the ash heap of history, were it not for our patriots.
There is a 5x8 flag atop my 30’ flag pole. I, like so many of you, would give my last drop of blood to defend what that flag stands for. God bless those that saved our flags from the armpit of the DNC.
I have little doubt that the libs will want to file theft charges.
Obama, it’s over, go away, go back to your racist and hateful world. You will NEVER be my president.
I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with Liberty and Justice for all.
This is what McCain needs to play in response to the Obama’s complaints on this issue.
Please turn up your sound to hear an important part of my youth.

BTTT!!!!!!!!!!
As you may know, I spent 5½ years as a prisoner of war during the Viet Nam War. In the early years of our imprisonment, the NVA kept us in solitary confinement or two or three to a cell. In 1971 the NVA moved us from these conditions of isolation into large rooms with as many as 30 to 40 men to a room. This was, as you can imagine, a wonderful change and was a direct result of the efforts of millions of Americans on behalf of a few hundred POWs 10,000 miles from home.
One of the men who moved into my room was a young man named Mike Christian. Mike came from a small town near Selma, Alabama. He didn't wear a pair of shoes until he was 13 years old.
At 17, he enlisted in the US Navy. He later earned a commission by going to Officer Training School. Then he became a Naval Flight Officer and was shot down and captured in 1967.
Mike had a keen and deep appreciation of the opportunities this country, and our military, provide for people who want to work and want to succeed. As part of the change in treatment, the Vietnamese allowed some prisoners to receive packages from home. In some of these packages were handkerchiefs, scarves and other items of clothing. Mike got himself a bamboo needle.
Over a period of a couple of months, he created an American flag and sewed it on the inside of his shirt. Every afternoon, before we had a bowl of soup, we would hang Mike's shirt on the wall of the cell and say the Pledge of Allegiance. I know the Pledge of Allegiance may not seem the most important part of our day now, but I can assure you that in that stark cell, it was indeed the most important and meaningful event.
One day the Vietnamese searched our cell, as they did periodically, and discovered Mike's shirt with the flag sewn inside, and removed it. That evening they returned, opened the door of the cell, and for the benefit of all us, beat Mike Christian severely for the next couple of hours.
Then, they opened the door of the cell and threw him in. We cleaned him up as well as we could. The cell in which we lived had a concrete slab in the middle on which we slept. Four naked light bulbs hung in each corner of the room. As I said, we tried to clean up Mike as well as we could. After the excitement died down, I looked in the corner of the room, and sitting there beneath that dim light bulb with a piece of red cloth, another shirt and his bamboo needle, was my friend, Mike Christian. He was sitting there with his eyes almost shut from the beating he had received, making another American flag.
He was not making the flag because it made Mike Christian feel better. He was making that flag because he knew how important it was to us to be able to pledge our allegiance to our flag and country.
So the next time you say the Pledge of Allegiance, you must never forget the sacrifice and courage that thousands of Americans have made to build our nation and promote freedom around the world.
You must remember our duty, our honor, and our country.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
A True Story by John S. McCain
“Apparently, these were merely “props”. “Props” that had served their purpose and were now to be discarded along with the styrofoam Greek columns >.... That were “returned to the Studio Lot”.
There fixed it.
Sorry I live in La La Lib Land and any slam however subtle against these idiots in Hollywood, makes me feel good.
HEARD ON FR FIRST, well it was from RED STATE, but the pictures are right here on this thread from over a week ago.

To be honest, I don’t think that highlighting things like this helps our cause. I think the issues speak very loudly for themselves and only get clouded by red herrings like this. Granted, those of us here- people invested enough in the Conservative cause to post these messages- may behave differently, but for the vast majority of Americans, disposing of small flags in an inappropriate manner is a regular occurence. Most people end up with a couple of these every year from 4th of July events, Memorial Day events, etc, and it’s not like most Americans have dozens of these miniature flags framed on their walls at home. Almost all of them get put in the trash eventually. Questioning the patriotism of the Dems is fair game, but to do it through vilifying an act that almost all Americans commit regularly throughout their lives seems like an unproductive way to convince people of the superiority of your own idealistic platform. That seems easy enough this election without side shows like this.
bttt
Will Obama be called upon to hold someone accountable? Someone in his campaign was responsible to ensure the proper handling of Old Glory. Many men died to protect that symbol of America and to discard it so carelessly is well its simply LIBERAL.
On cue (as of 1:15 pm PST 09/06/08), the DNC is claiming the the Pubbies STOLE flags that were going to be sent back to the manufacturer “for recycling”.
So, first off, let’s find out WHICH mfr he’s talking about and then ask if reshipment is usually done in trash bags, or in a dumpster.
If it was me interviewing this cretin, I’d wing it and say that the manufacturer was contacted and that he said there was no recycling provision - and then watch the spin itself be “recycled”.
So, which party that actually recycles?
So, which party that actually recycles?
“Apparently, these were merely “props”. “Props” that had served their purpose and were now to be discarded along with the styrofoam Greek columns. “
I would say that parallels their view of our Constitution.
Ping to read later!

I have a few pictures of the rally in Colorado Springs that include the waving the flags that were thrown away by the dems in Denver. But I need help posting them. Anyone?
I WANNA BUY ONE !!
I bet those flags weren’t even made in America - probably Chinese made to boot (meanwhile Obama talks about keeping jobs in America....).
I just got back from the Colorado Springs Rally.
Here are my pics from being in the center of that sea of flags.
This is what the Flag looks like when its in the presence of those who gratefully understand its value.
Enjoy
What an awesome thing for these wonderful patriots to do!
